I really enjoy listening to the audiobooks for this story as I feel I don't give them the voice to get me going as I read them slowly to pay attention but don't have as much trouble with that while listening to the audiobook soooo looking forward to the next book.

This probably is my favorite out of the entire series thus far. The stories are more interesting with each book and the narration is good!

This is the third book in this series. It's not my typical genre or romance trope. But because of who the author is, and how much I enjoy her writing, I chose to (first) try and then (second) continue this series. I'll admit that I didn't realize it would be longer than three books, so I'm semi disappointed to not have the final conclusion. BUT I'm so invested in these characters that I can't wait to see what will happen next. There was SO MUCH more going on in this book. I kept guessing and totally failing in figuring it out. The cliffhanger is brutal. I love the audiobook version so much. I couldn't wait to see what was happening, so I read the third book first, just so I could get answers. I can't wait for the next book!!

Lucinda Gainey is an excellent narrator. She voices all the characters so well with an emotional performance. She truly brings this book to life! It rolls like a movie in my head.

Prodigal Son, an Audiobook by Lydia Michaels is book 3 in The Order of the Vampires series! This series continues to keep me riveted!! This story follows Cain and Destiny. She’s a reporter and accidentally interferes with his pursuit of a monster. Her actions, when she discovers a group of vampires, could turn deadly. Cain is forced into actions he doesn’t want to do…The ongoing situations that come between these two and the means used to prevent her telling others….make this an engaging, exciting read!!

This story is again narrated by Lucinda Gainey, Her performance wasn’t quite up to the level as the previous stories, but still very, very good!!

Wow this series just keeps getting better!! Lydia Michaels' series The Order of the Vampires is full of unexpected surprises that will keep you at the edge of your sit and leave you wanting more!!

This series continues with Cain's story and I definitely recommend reading the previous books in the series so you can get a better understanding of everything surrounding the Hatzler family and this unique amish community.

The story starts right after the ending of book two with Cain and reporter Destiny Santos deep in the woods and in danger. Their circumstances forces them together in order to survive the threat of Cain's uncle Isaiah and their journey its one you don't want to miss because while their story is happening other characters are introduce and old character's lives are continuing their stories. New shocking developments occur that keep me at the edge of my sit.

I'm so happy Cain got his story, in my opinion he was a misunderstood character in the first two books but in this one you can see the sacrifices he has done for his family and how much he truly love them.

While Destiny and Cain's story wasn't a happy one at the beginning of the book their feelings for each other grew and while they were apart their connection deep down never faded.

With another cliffhanger ending I can't wait to see what the next book in this incredible series.

There are so many layers to the story. With each book it grows. Multiple characters to follow. It keeps you interested. Their chemistry is palpable. There are these sweet and heartfelt moments as well. It all feels real. And has a good flow. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

The narrator is able to give each character their own voice and truly build a world I can walk into. I could feel her passion as well and really enjoyed her work.

This is the third book in The Order of Vampires series, an Amish Vampires Romance. Cain and Destiny's story is fast-paced, passionate, entertaining, and suspenseful, filled with danger, action, drama, and twists and turns. Cain is Adam's twin from Original Sin, the first book in the series. He is an enigmatic, and a fantastic character, selfless, caring, and supportive. His past is heartbreaking. Destiny, a reporter, is sunshine, fun, and impulsive. I liked them both, and they are perfect together. The storyline is original, and enthralling. There is a lot going on in this installment. The world building is interesting, and captivating. This is my favorite in the series. Lucinda Gainey did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series, to know what happens next. I highly recommend this series. I like Lydia Michaels's writing. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily written this review.

This story is primarily Cain's and Destiny's story, but as with all of these books, we get a taste of what is going on with the whole community. Perhaps the biggest jaw drop in this book was Sybil! This series is so good and there is way too much time between the books.

Cain has always been a mystery to me. When he found Destiny, I was hopeful that he may finally have found his person. Their story as it winds into the bigger story is fascinating. This series has me at the edge of my seat and I need the next book now! I hope Ms. Michaels continues to write many books in this series because I can see so many more stories to be told! Love it!
