About this listen

The search continues....

Following up on the meticulously-detailed research of Hunted: The Zodiac Murders, Profiled: The Zodiac Examined goes beyond the case files to develop a comprehensive criminal profile that examines the personality, psychology, physical characteristics, and motives of the Zodiac. Based in the same detailed research of Hunted, Profiled sticks to the facts and articulates at every step how the conclusions of the profile were reached.

At the time the Zodiac was committing his crimes, the term “serial killer” had not yet been coined, and psychological profiles were practically unknown. Now, using 21st-century crime analytics and a sophisticated understanding of serial killers, it is possible to create a comprehensive profile that may help identify the kind of man who could commit these terrible crimes and get away with it for decades, despite an overabundance of evidence that should have pointed directly to him.

Join the search for the killer as the evidence is compiled and analyzed in Profiled: The Zodiac Examined.

Essential reading for Zodiac sleuths

Obsessed with the Zodiac case? Hewitt obsesses with you, deeply analyzing theories and evidence down to the most minute detail. His conclusions range from the logical to the highly speculative, but his exhaustive analysis leaves few perspectives unexamined and proves his expert knowledge about this case. Read his first book and familiarize yourself with the Zodiac case before diving into this volume. The narrator’s overall delivery was excellent, but his ceaseless noting of “quote…end quote” was extremely grating. To indicate quotes, narrators often use changes in tone or pauses –in a book with quoted terms on virtually every page, a better technique would have made this a 5-star performance.

Quote Zodiac Unquote

This was quote bad unquote.

How did this get into this production?

Poor and oh-so amateurish.

And the science references are old and more than stale.

The Text of Story Is Good. Narration - Not So Much

Lots of facts per the California "Zodiac Killer" case...Good for anyone interested in this ongoing mystery...My "not so much" issue is with the Narration...The Reader drove me to stop listening at times because of his reading what was apparently quoted material...and his speaking the words - Quote...Close Quote - after EVERY Phrase...or single Word...e.g., The detective said, Quote, "NO," Close Quote...etc. etc...and there was a LOT of this... I've never encountered this before in an audio-book...If this were a hard-copy book, quotes would be obvious...but not necessary in this audio format...To me, this was extremely distracting...Take Care!
