What a fantastic story! Mari was married to a corrupt officer, and had all his friends in blue harassing his ex to the extreme. All because she left his abusive behavior. Thank goodness her brother had military connections to send her help. Both narrators were fantastic, bring the story to life and making the characters distinct.

I really like this audio book! I was given a copy in return for honest review. This was a really great listen. I like how the author was able to give a complete story, background, suspense, drama, love, a complete book that was not just sex scenes. Definitely worth the listen!

Such a terrific story. Nice to see characters from Susan Stokers' SEAL of Protection series. Lot's of action all the way through. There were a lot of characters I didn't know & it was difficult to keep track of them all but that was minor in the scheme of things.

Narration was perfect.

Always look forward to listening to a story narrated by Aaron and/or Virginia. I love to listen to audiobooks. They always bring the story to life from the first page until the end. There is something special and unique about what they bring to every story. I say that I visualize the stories like a movie and this was a wonderful performance by both narrator's. You can sense that they really enjoy narrating.

I did not notice at first when I began to listen that it was going to be a short audio. I was a little surprised when I glanced up to see there was only 15 minutes left.

I love when authors do crossovers in their stories. It is nice to see the side characters from the other stories. For this one though I was getting a little confused as there were so many side characters that were not quite developed enough in the story.

Of course I listened while I was at working cleaning a house so may have been a little distracted. Cara Carnes was a new author for me to discover and I would listen/read another one.

The end of the x husband’s was a little lame. In the beginning he was clever at the end it was stupid

quick story...woman is attacked by someone sent by her abusive ex, who just happens to be a homicide detective! Mari reaches out to one of her brother's friends and her protection is assigned to Ethan. Some chemistry, some bad guys. Story could have been better if it was developed a bit, the ending was too abrupt. Great performance by narration team.
