Publisher's summary

One weakness can change everything.

Meara and Liam were friends before they could talk, in love since they could drive, and planning their future before they graduated high school. In order to start the life they've always dreamed of, Liam just has to finish his tour with the band.

He doesn't want anyone else. Liam's only ever had eyes for Meara, and he can't wait to finally get home to her. But when his dark secret is exposed and his entire world crumbles around him, he has no choice but to let her go.

Meara would wait for him forever. She knows that Liam will always be hers, especially now that she has an unexpected surprise for him. But just when the life she's waited for is in her grasp, she discovers something that destroys her fairy tale ending.

Can two people who are destined for each other find their future with mistakes between them? Will their love be able to repair the heartbreak and lies?

One night was all it took for everything to fall apart.

Liam💘Meara! Another Great Story & Audible Listen🎧

Another great addition to Anna Brooks’ “It’s Kind of Personal” Series. She continues to pen these wonderful stories, they are heartfelt, realistic and engrossing from start to end. This is Liam and Meara’s story, they were childhood friends whose friendship grew to a deep love. Liam, a drummer in a band was away most of the time touring with his band. Meara, home running the family bar they were the relationship work. But Liam has some demons and hides them well from Meara. But when those demons come to surface and Meara finds out what was going on she runs and ends it with him. So much goes on, they each go though so much, she suffers a devastating loss, he has to come to terms with his demons. They both have their struggles, is their love strong enough to survive, can she find room in her heart to forgive. I like how Anna Brooks handled their challenges, especially his. Their story is a great one, it is heartfelt and emotional at times but everyone deserves their fairytale ending. Thanks for another great story! While this is part of a series it can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone but I highly recommend not only this book but the entire series.

I listened to the Audible edition, Nelson Hobbs and Neva Navarre are amazing narrators and storytellers. They bring the characters and their story to life from the pages to your ears. Thanks for another great and entertaining listen🎧

This will grab your heart

Still recovering from my book hangover, this is by far, my favorite of the series. We previously met Meara with Charlotte and new of her relationship with Liam. This story had me completely caught up in their relationship from childhood straight through til they got married. The story really picks up once Liam leaves to tour the country with his band. Meara and Liam work through their 7 years of long distance relationships with a few ups and downs, but their love never faded. Liam was never tempted to cheat, but his substitution for his loneliness almost ended their relationship. I think my favorite part of the book was Liam's phone messages to Meara. The heart-wrenching feelings this provoked made you root for the two of them to find their happily ever after. Kudos to Anna Brooks, can't wait for the next book!

Nelson Hobbs and Neva Navarre are an incredible team of narrators. The emotions they provoke when reading this story make you feel. Not all narrators have this ability(I listen to a lot of books) and to have this is very special.

A gorgeous story!!

WOW!!!!! Once again, Anna Brooks took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride throughout PROVE ME RIGHT, and I didn't want to get off!! I loved that Liam and Meara were childhood sweethearts that were honest in their feelings for each other from a very young age, and despite the separation and demands of Liam being in a rock band, their love for each other never once faltered. I loved Meara, she was a strong heroine and her love and trust for Liam was commendable!! She was selfless as she let him pursue his dreams whilst she waited behind for him. And Liam, although a little less alpha than Ms. Brooks's usual heroes, my heart still broke for him as he battled with addiction and admired him for his perseverance to recovery. This is a emotional story that will make you feel for all the good and bad that these characters go thru.

Prove Me Right

What a great book!!!

No one knows what it’s like to see someone fight an addiction..,whether it’s alcohol, drugs, or some other type of addiction. It’s hard, heartbreaking, breaks up families, but it can also bring you closer together and give you a new perspective on what the other person goes through.

Liam, what a gorgeous name and a wonderful character in this book. Talented and wounded from growing up in an addictive home has the love and passion of Mira, his childhood sweetheart. Their love is what sonnets are made of, but are threatened by Liam’s rise to fame and his turning to drugs and alcohol to cope with loneliness and missing her.

Together they fight the battle with personal losses but a determination to make it.

A very touching story/ great writing!
