About this listen

The epic showdown between the last Isador queen and House Skye begins.

Strengthened by her new queen sib, Shara Isador plans to return to her mansion-in-progress for some much needed rest. She especially wants to get to know her new twin Blood and fears she may have made a mistake in taking them. She does not love them. Yet.

However, the sun god and the queen of New York City have other plans.

The snares are set to capture the young but extremely powerful vampire queen. Someone inside Zaniyah's nest has betrayed them, and Shara's trusted butler calls to inform her that a large package has arrived - from Marne Ceresa, the queen of Rome. A trap, surely. Or could the unknown gift be an olive branch from the feared Triune queen?

Contains mature themes.

3.75 stars

3.75 this was still pretty good but it is getting a little repetitive. As always super smutty and a very quick read.

I love this entire series

I love a well written reverse harem, especially when its done to such perfection. I don't think I can do with out these books, there's so much good story AND sex with this!!!! Thats such a rare combo, its like what I would've wanted my version of hunger games to be. You know with vampires.

awesome series

there are a few errors but overall this book i love. I've listened to this series in total so often and I love Cassandra Miles and Tristan James. The voices of different people very well done. Especially on Tristans case since he has so many to do with the guys.

Another amazing book in Joely Sue Burkhart's Vampire Queen series. I just can't get enough of this deliciously dark series.

AMAZING!

I love this audiobook. I love the fact that the main character isn't weak at all. she haves her moments of doubt but that's expected. If this could be turned to a small tv series or movie and put on by Netflix or HBO oooh how this would blow all of the other shows away.

Another Kick-Ass Book in an Awesome Series!!

This was my favorite book so far. We got to see Shara in action for real, facing off against one of the major players, and the build up & outcome were perfect. Getting to learn more about the past right along with Shara was another bonus. It's not too often that a reader feels like they are experiencing the past with the main character, as opposed to just hearing about it. Cassandra Myles does such a phenomenal job of expressing emotion and using different volumes to get a point across. So many narrators don't actually whisper or shout when the story calls for it, and it detracts from the authenticity. Tristan James actually does a pretty good job as our male narrator, and I typically won't listen to audiobooks with a male lead.
