Critic reviews
"Raising Atlantis is a wonderfully honed cliffhanger, an outrageous adventure with a wild dose of the supernatural. A thrill ride from start to finish." (Clive Cussler)
"A gripping page-turner....I think it's a lot like The DaVinci Code, but I like the ending on this one better." (CBS News)
"A remarkable first novel. Raising Atlantis grabs hold of you from the first page and pulls you into an astonishing world of scientific fact and fiction, suspense and good old-fashioned adventure. Thomas Greanias is a superb writer who knows how to tell a tale with style and substance. Thoroughly entertaining." (Nelson DeMille)
"It's not hard to see why this techno-thriller has already been such a success: a gripping plot about the discovery of an island believed to be Atlantis, not in the Aegean but buried under the ice of the South Pole; some colorful characters, including a father-and-son team of archeologists; and some clean, no-nonsense writing that adds to the reading speed and suspense." Action packed and interesting plot. I will read the next book in the series.
I enjoyed this book. The story was interesting and I’m curious where the author will take it in the sequel. There was plenty of action throughout. There were some factual glitches, such as the rappelling sequences. They would have needed a donkey to carry all the rope required for all their long climbs and rappelling. Also a radio call sign: “six-nine- sixer,” which I think should’ve been “six-niner -six.” Scott Brick is my favorite narrator, but I found it irritating for him to end chapters by quickly speaking the next chapter number immediately after the last word of the previous sentence. (That could have been edited in at a later time.) I look forward to the sequel!

Riveting!!
I've loved reading Ludlum's books in the past, and IMHO, Thomas Greanias' book Raising Atlantis surpasses all of them. I also think that the quality of the reading of Raising Atlantis should put this Audible book at, or close to number one.

Very Entertaining
This was an amazing book. If you?re into ancient civilizations, celestial mysteries and modern technology that doesn?t match up to mysterious nature of the pyramids you will love this book. Shrouded by the US trying to keep a secret discovery found miles beneath ice under wraps things get dicey when other countries fear a ?secret nuclear test site? of the Americans. This book is an interesting read for Atlantis enthusiasts.

Goes on and on and on
A good yar filled with bits and pieces of other good yarns a dabbling of current events, some religion for those who need some nd unfortunately, once again, the salvation of the world is dependent on superstition and judeo/christian dogma. The hero takes a 20 foot leap to a stone floor with no damage to his ankles, the heroine falls 30+ from a helicopter and is unharmed all in all a bit "over-the-top".
Your never quite sure if science or reason has any place in the tale and by the time you've decided, none, it gets even more bizarre with the never-ending end that seems to go on and on and on.
3 stars is the best I could do for this audiobook and those only because the "graphics" or visuals created by the story are truly wonderful. I'm a sucker for special effects.

Decent little adventure
This was decent for an adventure/action book. Think Indiana Jones meets The Da Vinci Code and you're getting the general idea. I enjoyed the narration, aside from the attempt at the female austrailian accent, the rest was quite good. I would recommend this book to anyone who was looking for a relatively exciting read with the author delving a bit into the backgrounds of the heroes without overdoing it. In my opinion, worth the price for a listen.

Great book, but a few annoying flaws
What made the experience of listening to Raising Atlantis the most enjoyable?
Scott Brick. 'Nuff said. :D
What did you like best about this story?
The whole Atlantis concept (which I love), plus the dynamic between Serena and Conrad. *Spoiler Alert* They finally team up in the third book.*End Spoiler*
What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Scott is one of the best narrators in the business, and makes all the voices--and the characters--come alive in a way that print doesn't.
Any additional comments?
The editing needs needs work. Whoever edited this audiobook left no pauses at the chapter stops, making for very abrupt and jarring transitions. A pause for dramatic effect or just to ease the transition from one chapter to another is not a bad thing. This editor apparently doesn't know that.

The theory was good
Where to begin lets start with what I liked the Ancient alien part of the story was interesting and could be explored further. The way the city and terrain was discribed was striking and had my imagination on over drive. Now for the bad the Characters were just Unlikable which is sad because you want to like them in fact the dog is the only character that you could care for and they kill him which made me angry I hate when dogs die or get hurt. The romance between the the two main characters was just to complicated and Serena just seemed to just hate Conrad plus Serena was just completely irritating and hateful she really had no Redeeming qualities. The only other thing I have to say is I really wanted to like this Audio book so I'm willing to give this author another chance.
