Great Series, Great Book 6

I bought this as a gift for my younger brother who loves raising sheep and lives in the country on a farm. He absolutely loved it! I thought it might be too grown up but it was perfect for him, thanks to the Dion Rosser.

Impressive Guidance for new Farmers

Bought this audible for a friend of mine whose goal is to move to Idaho and start a Sheep farm. Ok, there's not much in here about shep, but great ideas on how to set up a farm with farming and animals, depending on size. Lots to read and think about, which is the idea behind gifting the title.

Good introductory info

Good information for beginners, though the writing/ narration can get very repetitive. More of an introductory book than a reference manual.

introduction to raising sheep

The authors attempt to provide a thorough introduction to raising sheep, but this is the edition of an audible from 2000 and, in my opinion, there has not been enough deletion of old material. Instead, new information has been cheated onto enduring structures.

Very informative, Great for beginners.

This audiobook is very good and now I have all the information I would need in one complete title. It even has guides for the best breed of sheep. It has answers to problem questions. I'm been able to figure out many different issues I have with my sheep because of this volume. It really is a great resource, and I'm very happy to have it in my collection.

Distracting Narration

The info seems very good and relevant, and the writing is accessible. But the narration sounds like a 1950s news broadcaster reading headlines. The cadence is staccato and too even. The words are too over-pronunciated. I get the narrator is trying make their speech clear. but. It’s. Just. So. Over. Done. It. Makes. It. Hard. To. distinguish. When. A. Sentence. Ends. And. Another. Begins. This would have been a LOT better if the author had simply read their story out loud. What it reminds me of the most is the way a radio announcer inflects every word when they’re reading headlines.
