About this listen

Biographical historical fiction that takes the reader across India during the last decades of the British Raj.

From a girlhood among Hindu shrines to widowhood and Christian conversion, Rama seeks her destiny. Is it only to educate Hindu widows? Or does God have a larger plan in mind?

Rama's Labyrinth traces the life of Pandita Ramabai, a social reformer who rose above personal adversity to rescue and educate famine victims.

A Christian Propaganda Book

Would you try another book from Sandra Wagner-Wright and/or Deepti Gupta?

By Sandra Wagner Wright NO

What could Sandra Wagner-Wright have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The 2nd half was total Christian ideology.

Did Deepti Gupta do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

She read the Indian accents beautifully. Her English accents were irritating, inaccurate, and hard to listen too.

Any additional comments?

I have never written a review before but felt mislead by the description of the book.

If you are not a practicing Christian, I can not recommend this book. The first part of the book is very interesting and gave a deep understanding of the Hindu religion and practices and was historically interesting and atmospheric.

The second half of the book was all Christian dogma and the story was hyperbolic and unbelievable, I was offended by the dogma and the idea that the Christian religion is superior to Hinduism.
