About this listen

Ramona's job is to be nice to fussy Mrs. Kemp, who watches her while her mother works. If Mrs. Quimby didn't work, Mr. Quimby couldn't return to college. On top of all that, third grade isn't turning out as Ramona expected, even though she enjoys her class's new reading program, D.E.A.R. Danny the Yard Ape teases her, and, on one horrible day, she throws up - at school. Being eight isn't easy, but it's never dull!

Great, as Beverly Cleary's books always are

for me, no one captures what it's like to be a child like Beverly Cleary. she tells things from the child's point of you, with great detail and understanding of what it's like at each age to be willful and conflicted and trying to be good.

Perfect for my 3 year old on a long car ride.

We loved it. On long car trips my husband and I struggle to listen to "the wheels on the bus" on a loop. We decided to download this book for our 3 year old and he found many moments that he thought were funny! He would say, "Romona is silly mommy." Even I smiled quite a bit because of the innocence of it all. Enjoyable for the family.
