About this listen

Fresh out of college, Aggie Milliken thinks she's prepared for anything life can throw her way. Think again, Aggie! After the abrupt loss of her sister and brother-in-law, Aggie is stunned to find herself the sole guardian of their eight lively children. If learning basic parenting skills wasn't complicated enough, she must also battle the children's half-crazed grandmother, survive a massive remodeling project, and navigate the waters of new friendships - alone. She has little experience with children and none with housekeeping, and it shows. What she has going for her is grit, a double dose of determination, and the confidence that this is exactly where the Lord wants her to be. With an unlimited P-mail account and enough hymns to keep her spirits bolstered, she tackles one catastrophe after another. It seems like nothing Aggie does is right, but ready or not, here she comes!

loved this book the funniest part was when sleep deprived she found out she had put coffee instead of the baby formula into his bottle. many laughs as she learns to be a mom to eight orphaned children left in her care when her sister died in a accident.....while she has to contend with a mother-in-law who disapproves the fact the children were left in her care. serious, yet hilarious as I listened. and no illicit sex...yeah!!!! this book was best I have listened to for a long time. I highly recommend this book!!!

I love this book and Jennifer Ford really bring it to life. Chautona Havig really knows how to draw you into a story and make the characters feel real. It's almost as if they live down the road!!! The music adds great affects. I cannot wait to hear more.

I was so sad to not be able to find out if Aggie picked Luke! : ( He was so sweet and perfect for her and the kids. Maybe there’s a sequel I haven’t heard of; I will be looking for it! I also loved the fact that the characters, interested in one another, didn’t throw themselves at each other all the time. Aggie’s life was about the Lord and the kids-not centered around being fulfilled by men, as many singles are tempted to do. I appreciated that. I also loved the warmth of many of the characters. It was a good and cozy, God-centered, realistic, comedic and lighthearted book. Loved it!

Wish the rest were on audio, as I don't have much time to read, but lots of drive time to listen. Enjoyed it very much.

I like this author a lot, and this was the first of her stories I read--and now I've read almost all of them. Very appealing characters!

Not her best, but good

Life, drama, romance, friends... all with wholesome Godly foundation. I really enjoy seeing how they prayed about concerns of the heart and the way Aggie sang songs as a way of prayer and praise. I absolutely loved this book and will be reading more by the author
