A demon fairy tale makes an excellent change of pace

A fractured fairy tale type story with demon heroine. I really enjoyed this book as it kept you on your toes. Just when you think Astrid is in a safe zone she is in battle for her life once again. I read fractured fairy tales quite often but I have never read one where the demons are the "good guys".
It was very refreshing and certainly a change of pace. I am very excited to see what is in store next for Astrid and her newly acquired friends of varying backgrounds!

Amazingly captivating

I have always loved books of this genre, but it is so much more than that. Normally I struggle to get through the first chapter of books. I read the first page and instantly spent every waking minute binge reading. I am still craving a second book and I finished this one well over a month ago. The character progression is astounding. It truly feels like you are inside the book as you read. The author catches your attention and holds it like a vice. You fall in love with Davey and you cry right alongside Astrid. You feel the emotions in each and every wave. The minute you put down the book you don't stop thinking about it until it's back in your hands.
