About this listen

The Elemental Magic bundle set includes all six books in the series full of nonstop action, adventure, magic, and irresistible romance.

I thought magic was make believe...but I was way wrong.

I was nobody. No matter how hard I tried, I never fit in with anyone at my high school. Now I know why.

Turns out I'm a witch. A scary powerful one, too. Except The Coven that claimed me won't teach me how to use my magic.

Suddenly, I'm selected by the Goddess to hunt down a mythical locket needed to save the world from destruction. The only person who actually tries to help me is the alarmingly attractive Tennessee. He has immeasurable power and breathtaking mismatched eyes. I'm drawn to him on a level I can't explain...and he's forbidden from getting too close to me.

When the quest takes an unexpected dangerous turn, I have to improvise. This supernatural world is unraveling at my fingertips and I need to master my magic fast. If I don't, I could get everyone I care about killed...

this series was absolutely AMAZING! I couldn't stop listening! however, as much as I loved it, I am disappointed with the ending. I dont want to ruin it for anyone but I can say that it left a lot of questions unanswered. I was pretty upset... I honestly thought that there was one more book that was left out of this series, but after research, apparently this is it. there are so many questions left unanswered that there could literally be a whole other book... pretty bummed. which is why I gave 4 starts instead of 5.

absolutely loved it but....

The book starts off wrong.. actually correction—- the narrator takes some time to get used to. Though she changes voices when the characters interact with each other, during the narration while acting as Tennessee, it’s so difficult to connect the voice to this character. It wasn’t until the end of the 2nd book in this series that i sort of got used to it, but still i felt a disconnect to Tennessee’s character, because the narrator has a naturally youthful female voice.
However, the story itself is nit bad. I don’t like the way the author does her world building, though we come to know some things that provide a more full picture the future, certain things were unnecessary.. but i have to say started to like the series and fall in love with the characters.
On the other hand the narrator is still very confusing at times , i will forget who is speaking because of that extremely feminine voice- when acting out Tennessee or any other males- she should have changed her voice to the voice she uses when the male characters are interacting with the female characters- also when she was acting out Emerson’s part, she should have done the southern accent because it’s so so difficult to differentiate.
However, the story was good. I enjoyed the book. I am skeptical about listening to the Academy series though because the narrator is not great.

Good story, but the author should have gone with a different narrator

The story itself was very entertaining with several twists and turns. I love the author. The only problem I had was with the narrator Vanessa Moyen she seemed to have trouble staying in character. During her narration, she would continuously go back to her regular voice To me that caused confusion on which character was actually speaking. There were times I had to go back to the beginning of a chapter to remind myself which character was speaking. Personally, I most likely will not purchase any more books that she narrates.

Wonderful storyline, 👎 narrator

Loved this series! Surprisingly good. Hooked me in immediately. Would highly recommend for anyone that enjoys more complicated characters than a typical YA supernatural novel set

Great!

This book could have been so much better, if the narrator had differentiated the characters. Also if the FMC didn’t spend so much time pining for the MMC in the beginning. The story was interesting but I had to restart the chapter to know know whose POV I was listening to. I wish there were more paranormal romance for adults that aren’t reverse harem or why choose. All in all it’s not a bad story.

Interesting

I really enjoyed this story. I usually don't read teen/ coming of age, but this was really enjoyable. but I wish there was a male narrator for Tennessee. I sometimes forgot who's perspective I was listening to.

fun story! wish there was a male narrator...

The narrator is using the same voice for the male and female main characters. It's hard to follow.
