About this listen

The Elemental Magic bundle set includes all six books in the series full of nonstop action, adventure, magic, and irresistible romance.

I thought magic was make believe...but I was way wrong.

I was nobody. No matter how hard I tried, I never fit in with anyone at my high school. Now I know why.

Turns out I'm a witch. A scary powerful one, too. Except The Coven that claimed me won't teach me how to use my magic.

Suddenly, I'm selected by the Goddess to hunt down a mythical locket needed to save the world from destruction. The only person who actually tries to help me is the alarmingly attractive Tennessee. He has immeasurable power and breathtaking mismatched eyes. I'm drawn to him on a level I can't explain...and he's forbidden from getting too close to me.

When the quest takes an unexpected dangerous turn, I have to improvise. This supernatural world is unraveling at my fingertips and I need to master my magic fast. If I don't, I could get everyone I care about killed...

Titles include:

  • The Lost Witch

Great story, Decent narrater

I Loved this story. my first audible book, and couldn't put it down. I do have alot of unanswered questions still. most importantly, Tennessee's back story that is left unanswered. where do we find that?? the imagery in the books was really fantastic where it counted, but I found myself slightly annoyed with the repeated use of specific phrases, like licked my lips, fisted his hair, and many more. just needs to be a bit more creative with certain phrases, mixing it up a bit more.

and I didn't mind the narrater. she got the job done and at least attempted to create different voices for different characters.

Loved

I really enjoyed this series. Of course I listened to it backwards because I’m new at audio books but I enjoyed it still and it felt like I went back in time to see how they got to where they were in the second series. Can’t wait to listen to the 3rd series. I wasn’t to impressed with the voice actor but after a while I got used to it. Will recommend

Great action, adventure and mystery.

Narrator did not have enough vocal variety. I could not tell which character was speaking or thinking.
Otherwise the stories were awesome. might be better if I read instead of listened.

Amazingly good, very intense, fabulous world!

I usually go for fantasy/sci fi where the kick butt heroine falls for the alien/vampire/angel/shifter person and every other scene is steamy and or lots of adult mind games/mistrust. Nalini Singh, Dianne Duvall, Thea Harrison, Suzanne Wright, Molly Harper, JR Ward….these are my favorite authors…and I’m adding Chandelle LaVaun!!!

This world, these people, wow just wow!!! I guess it would qualify for young adult books because it focuses on 16-18 year olds who have magic and while there is a lot of tortured love, there aren’t any graphic steamy scenes….but man I didn’t miss them. The sexual tension was built to the point it was even better than a steamy scene! Forbidden love, soul mates, magic, big bad demons….heck yeah! I downloaded all four of the collection packages. I got 40 hours of nail bitting, world building perfection for a single credit….wow. I barely worked, I lost sleep, this series sucked me in immediately and held me through all four collections of Elemental Magic, academy magic, school of magical arts and Fae Magic.

I’m middle aged and I am very impressed with this series. It clicks all the boxes and some boxes I didn’t even know to hope for!

Highly recommended! Great value, great world, great humor! Only complaint is that it was hard to keep up with who was talking. There are a lot of characters, maybe it was too hard to do that many ways of talking. It doesn’t ruin the books it just made them confusing at parts. I’m going to listen to them all again now!

absolutely loved it but....

this series was absolutely AMAZING! I couldn't stop listening! however, as much as I loved it, I am disappointed with the ending. I dont want to ruin it for anyone but I can say that it left a lot of questions unanswered. I was pretty upset... I honestly thought that there was one more book that was left out of this series, but after research, apparently this is it. there are so many questions left unanswered that there could literally be a whole other book... pretty bummed. which is why I gave 4 starts instead of 5.

Good story, but the author should have gone with a different narrator

The book starts off wrong.. actually correction—- the narrator takes some time to get used to. Though she changes voices when the characters interact with each other, during the narration while acting as Tennessee, it’s so difficult to connect the voice to this character. It wasn’t until the end of the 2nd book in this series that i sort of got used to it, but still i felt a disconnect to Tennessee’s character, because the narrator has a naturally youthful female voice.
However, the story itself is nit bad. I don’t like the way the author does her world building, though we come to know some things that provide a more full picture the future, certain things were unnecessary.. but i have to say started to like the series and fall in love with the characters.
On the other hand the narrator is still very confusing at times , i will forget who is speaking because of that extremely feminine voice- when acting out Tennessee or any other males- she should have changed her voice to the voice she uses when the male characters are interacting with the female characters- also when she was acting out Emerson’s part, she should have done the southern accent because it’s so so difficult to differentiate.
However, the story was good. I enjoyed the book. I am skeptical about listening to the Academy series though because the narrator is not great.

Wonderful storyline, 👎 narrator

The story itself was very entertaining with several twists and turns. I love the author. The only problem I had was with the narrator Vanessa Moyen she seemed to have trouble staying in character. During her narration, she would continuously go back to her regular voice To me that caused confusion on which character was actually speaking. There were times I had to go back to the beginning of a chapter to remind myself which character was speaking. Personally, I most likely will not purchase any more books that she narrates.
