The narrator sounds like she’s trying too hard, and NONE of the characters are fleshed out. We know basically nothing g about Braun Card Manthy etc. we barely know anything about cress. About her personality or how she thinks and feels. The characters are very poorly written I think.

Poor characters

The story itself was pretty slow for me, which was weird since it's the final book in the trilogy. But the narrator made it so much worse. Zero emotion and very little inflection to her voice. I almost didn't realize something major happened because the tone never changed once.

Was the narrator AI..?
