About this listen

A timeless love story with bite.

It was a night like any other for funeral home director Ginny Lynn, until the exceptionally handsome - and unfortunately deceased - young man on her embalming table sat up, opened his emerald eyes and changed the course of her life forever, making her feel quite fluttery while he was at it.

Humans aren't supposed to know Jonas Cantrell, or any vampire, exists. It's kind of a major rule. Despite his instantaneous bond with perfectly peculiar Ginny, he has no choice but to erase her memories of their one and only meeting.

That was the plan. Before a reluctant Jonas can wipe Ginny's mind clean, she reveals a secret that brings their worlds crashing together. Human and vampire. Past and present. Darkness and light. And while their love is strictly forbidden, it might be the only thing that can save them....

Reborn Yesterday is a stand-alone paranormal romantic comedy with a happily-ever-after.

Pretty good.

New author for me. The summary and sample got me interested. I liked this quite a bit and hope to eventually listen to the other 2 when they get adapted 😉.
Jason only narrates a part of chapter 10 and 22 😑.
This is read in third person.

GREAT BOOK BUT NOT ENOUGH JASON CLARKE

THE FEMALE NARRATIVE WAS AMAZING, EVEN THOUGH THE CHARACTER WAS A BIT ANNOYING AT TIMES. I DIDN'T LIKE THAT JASON CLARKE ONLY NARRATED TWO CHAPTERS. FELT ROBBED OF HIS PERSONALITY AND SPIN ON THE STORY. I LOVE TESSA BAILEY BUT CAN DO WITHOUT THE NICKNAMES SHE ALWAYS INSIST ON GIVING HER CHARACTERS. IT REMINDS ME OF HIGH SCHOOL.

A delightful and delicious romantic love story between a modern day Vampire and a human, Mortician.

Reborn Yesterday is a delightful and delicious romantic love story of the life of a modern day Vampire in love with a human who happens to be a Mortician, running her deceased father's funeral home. Jonas Cantrell falls victim to a prank on his birthday by his two roommates. Jonas sleeps long and hard every few weeks and the one time he sleeps through his birthday, his roommates move him to a funeral home to truly lie among the dead. Ginny Lynn was working her usual shift as a Mortician at her father's funeral home, she took over the business after her father's sudden death. A very handsome, yet dead man laid out on her embalming table, she was overcome with a sadness that this very handsome and perfect man is dead, a "Dreamboat" as she called him suddenly opens his eyes and stares at Ginny. Jonas identity of being a Vampire is against the rules, Vampires and humans are not to allowed to be seen together or in a relationship together, it is unheard of and one of the 3 rules a Vampire must obey to live. Jonas enjoys Ginny and instantly they form a bond, just one night and then he'll wipe her memory of him, but things change and together they discover a past they share together and who's after Ginny. I absolutely loved this story, I was sad when it ended. Jonas and Ginny were an adorable couple and a love like no other. 5 Twilight Stars!!!

Simply wonderful!! Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved this audiobook! The performance was well voiced and entirely believable. And the story had me entirely enraptured from start to finish. This is honestly the first audiobook that has had me so completely absorbed in it that I actually ended up listening to it all the way through, non-stop in one day. I absolutely recommend getting this one!

Just Wow!!

Great story and so many twists and turns! Loved all the characters and settings. One of my favorite authors with a fabulous twist on a boy/girl love story. Totally recommend!!

Would Have Been Better with More Jason Clarke

Take a young female undertaker working alone at night, a Greek god corpse who comes alive on the table and you have the perfect recipe for a great paranormal romance. It started off okay, but there was just something missing for me. I’m a big fan of Tessa Bailey’s contemporary romances so I expected to be blown away by this.

Ginny is a twenty-five-year-old oddball undertaker who makes dresses and has few friends. Jonas is a vampire with issues. He can’t have a relationship with a human, but is instantly possessive of Ginny and can’t stay away from her. There are some crazy scenes with his two vampire roommates and a female Russian vampire slayer.

I think because I listened to this via audiobook it may be part of my problem. Sometimes its better to read than listen and sometimes the other way around. I didn’t care for the female narrator as much as the male, Jason Clarke.

All in all, it was an okay read/listen and I do want to read the next book in the series, Elias and Roksana’s story. I gave it three stars.

Tessa Bailey does it again!!!

on her podcast TB said she was nervous to write her first SFR...as a huge fan of SFR, I'd say she hit the ball out the park!!!! The narrators were great as well, just wish Jason Clark had read all of Jonas' parts. He's voice is amazing! Elizabeth Hart always does fantastic with voicing all the characters!!! Can't wait for book 2!!

A very good read!

I loved it and can't wait to read the second! The narration was just good, not great. it felt like the male narrator for Jonas and the female narrator doing Jonas were different characters which was a little hard to grasp but I still really enjoyed the story!

Delightful surprise

I have enjoyed much of Tessa Bailey's work, but this is my favorite. I was very hesitant given the departure from standard contemporary romance and romcom, but it only elevated what makes Bailey stand out in those genres. Love the shameless, full on mutual attraction, balanced out with both levity and lightheartedness.

Loved this new venture into paranormal Romance

Wish there was more Jason Clarke . I really don’t like when majority of the book is the female lead with a hint of male narration
