About this listen

Willa Peet isn't interested in love. She's been there, done that, and has the shattered heart to prove it. Ready to shake the breakup, she heads to Dublin, Ireland. But there's a problem. A dark-haired, blue-eyed problem with a bad attitude that rivals her own. And he's not doling out friendly Irish welcomes.

Shane Claymore just wants to race. The death of his father forced him off the Formula One circuit, but he's only staying in Dublin long enough to sell the Claymore Inn and get things in order for his mother and younger sister. He never expected the sarcastic American girl staying at the inn to make him question everything. But even as Willa and Shane's fiery natures draw them together, their pasts threaten to rip them apart.

Can Shane give up racing to be with the woman he loves, or will Willa's quest to resurrect the tough-talking, no-shit-taking girl she used to be destroy any hope of a future together?

Quick & steamy read, great narrator!

3.75 stars rounded up to 4 / 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
3.5 / 5 🌶 🌶 🌶
Spicy chapters: 8, 11, 16

This is a quick read by the very talented Tessa Bailey. I listened to the audio version, and I must say that the narrator made an excellent job, especially considering the different accents.

There was plenty of angst and things happening throughout the book to keep you busy and intrigued. I liked the aspect of Willa (the MFC) visiting Ireland and meeting Shane (the MMC) there. They had a strong connection from the very start, with sparks were flying around them.

As most of TB books it's pretty much insta-love (or insta-atraction in this case). Shane is very masculine, possessive and HOT. The spicy scenes are well written and will most likely make your body temperature rise 🌡.

Happy reading!

Amazing story

5⭐️/5
10🌶/5

Oh my lord! I couldn’t wait to jump into Willa’s story after I read protecting what’s his and protecting what’s theirs. Willa wins a photo contest and lands herself at the Claymore Inn where he meets broody adrenaline chasing Shane and denies herself the love he wants to shower her in. In this story we get amazing side characters who add so much to the story and we get a bonus side love story from Shane’s sister. Shane proves to Willa she’s worth it and they get their much deserved HEA.
The narrator struggled a bit with accents and male voices but it didn’t take anything away from the story.

Stash this on the MUST READ shelf and get to it!!!

Beautiful and touching, all the feels

This was a great listen, and Carly Robins gave an outstanding performance. To watch the H/h fall in love was beautiful. This is a story I believe all of us can relate to. It was perfect for a rainy weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. Tessa Bailey is an author worth reading and listening to.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

This book is exactly what I've been craving lately. It's so refreshing and the characters are superb. Shane and Willa have chemistry that is explosive and it's rare that characters in a story have that nowadays.

Badly needs a male narrator

Story was good, liked the tension before they gave in. The secondary characters were adorable.

Not a fan of Carly Robins.
