Attempting suicide was the only solution after love left her for dead. I love me a urban novel or should I say a relatable novel this book is very entertaining and has the length that you need to have a good audible read experience with your feet up just get ready for the ride lots of laughs and omg moments in this book i definitely recommend this for the ladies who like to dive into there books and tie it to something you actually see or seen in your life good job author

Story: I enjoyed the storyline enough to want to know what happens next. The characters each have relationship trauma that left them scared to the point they don’t trust the other enough to communicate openly. They each expect something they aren’t willing to give.

Narrators: KS Hartz took a while to get used to. Ben Josephs didn’t do it for me at all. Both didn’t seemed new at voice acting. This audiobook would’ve been better with more experienced narrators.

Overall, the story was worth listening to even with these narrators.

I couldn't turn this book off! I enjoyed it so much I would like to see the story in a movie. The narrators did an amazing job and kept me wanting more. I feel like I know all the characters but I'm in love with David. I can't wait to listen to book two! The author is very creative. Please keep sharing your gift with us!

I absolutely loved listening to this audiobook!! It was a great read (or should I say great listen) from beginning to end! Following Jaspers journey from the beginning and the struggles she had to encounter and push thru to finding genuine love. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend

Loved the story! Following Jasper and David through the struggles of their relationship reminds me of things I'vepersonallygone through. When a story makes me feel emotions for the character, is when I know it's a great book. I am disappointed that David's a Cowboys fan but I guess I can look past that fault 😉
I can't wait for the next book. I am mad at David for not telling Jasper who he has to work with at the end of the book. I need to know how that conversation goes!

I loved listening to the audio version of this new story that has emerged of a young lady struggling in her personal life and business. She meets a man with similar struggles, in different backdrops. This close up into the day to day lives of each character by switching narrations in each chapter was nice, I enjoyed both perspectives on the situations at hand. I am excited to continue the journey of metaphors the author provides for deep situations. Word poetry mixed with harsh reality and sexy situations caught my eye in this journey. There is so much to give from this author you can feel the rise of future greats works,like a sweet loaf of bread about to bake to perfection...(a little spin and example of the metaphors, Blu Jay would say!) I almost felt like this could be a good novela with so many interesting characters yet to be fully explored. I give all the applause and congratulations to the author Montoya for putting in the work to conceive of a book that has surprising verbiage, interpretation and heart. A great first work of art that leaves the readers wanting to be fed more! I am rooting for the main characters and am intrigued to see where the author takes them!

It has been years since my soul has been forced to serender into the fiction of fantasy. The dopamine that encapsulated my being for each word, wind, transition was worth every moment. Montoya Epperson's characters come to life and it is impossible not to believe you are a fly on the wall of everyroom. The words as read create 4D movement in a way that substitutes the best Motion Picture.

This seemly first of indefinite literally works is mind blowing and will NOT disappoint. The writers talent is seasoned and far from a novice.

I personally was thrown into lucidity and began to re imagine purpose as a Recipe for Disaster left me with the taste of hope on my tongue.

For the future, for the present, and a healing from the past. It was perfection.

The narration is just as amazing as the writing. I enjoyed every word, every chapter and the representation of black love and success. Balancing family, career, and love is a juggling act that requires commitment, balance, and focus. Lord knows it’s my “Black American Dream!” Cheers to the author and the narrators! I’m a fan for life!

I just kept telling myself just one more chapter. The next thing I knew I was finished with the book in two days. I was so involved with the story I just couldn’t stop listening. I am anxiously awaiting, book 2

After all these years, I still enjoy dipping my toes into the literal fiction pool of new authors to find out if their writing works for me or not. Books like Recipe For Disaster works for me. I listened to this one on audio and felt the narration was excellent. It was a captivating story that kept me wanting more. I would highly recommend it.
