About this listen

Having recovered from the expedition into Lycan territory, an old foe is again making their appearance. The cartel has raised the stakes, drawing Red Team to the south. Hunting silently in dark alleys and jungle depths, they search for two DEA hostages.

While endeavoring to dismantle an empire, they encounter something way over their head. Trapped and fighting for their very lives against something out of this world, they must try to hang on. Rescue is on its way, but will they be able to withstand the savage onslaught in time?

Unbelievable

Unreal. The only complaint I have is that these series of books dont come out faster...
so far all three books were GREAT!!!! John O'Brien is an awesome author and the narration by Gagliardi keeps you involved with all the characters....

Ongoing action

Once again, listening to Red Team; Cartel Part One has left me as speechless as if I had not ever read it. Yes, I have all his books and read them as well as the audbile and listen to them. The difference is in now your imagination and a great storyline has words thrumming through your head thanks to Mark Gagliardi's fantastic narration.
If you've read the book then you know what will happen; Red Team is now tasked with attempting (Possible Spoilers if you have not read the book) to persuade a Mexican Cartel to return two FBI agents they have kidnapped. And they can be very persuasive as they strike one hot location after another, taking out high level personel in their organization, destroying their bases and products...ect. Yes it is not what you would expect from Monster Hunters but stick with it if you have not read the book, the action will keep you glued. Drug cartels are a different type of monster, devouring hope and life as they ruthlessly enforce their laws and take all hope from those trapped in their midst.
And just when you think there might not be a new Beastie, out it comes! and Jack is in the fight of his life.
I've always said Mr. O'Brien has a gift when it comes to action scenes in any of his books; he places the reader/listener in the midst of the battles, whether they be human or inhuman monsters. The scenes are discriptive as are the emotions running though him and the team which would not have that great of an impact when listening to it unless you have a great narrator like Gagliardi. He does a great job in handling the scenes, whether they are in battle, private of just among team members. And yes once again, he/they leave you either screaming in frustation(that's me) or just disapppointed it ends and now you have to wait for the next installment. Either way, if you've already read the book, enjoy it all over again as you listen to the live action scenes...great Job Mr. O'Brien and Mr. Gagliardi, you two make a great team.

Love this series!!

Red Team is back again. Jack's team of brave men and women are at their best when they are tested to the very limit of their enhanced abilities. What they find themselves up against this time has me wishing the next book was available right now.
I can't wait for Red Team Cartel part 2.

I love this series!!!

I’m officially hooked on this series. I like the characters and the story lines are engaging. Sometimes things get too detailed but it’s easy to paint a picture in your imagination. If your a Mark Tufo Fan you will love John O’Brien.
