About this listen

Who do you trust when you can’t even trust yourself?

Everything I knew was a lie.

Everyone I loved betrayed me.

Everywhere I go someone wants me dead.

I’m no stranger to being alone. Even in my darkest hour, I knew I could count only on myself. Now, I have nothing and for the first time in my life I have to let someone else save me.

This story is NOT a standalone and must be listened to after Ruins of Temptation. This audiobook contains dark-material that might be triggering to some listeners.

Give it another go.

The second time around, this is actually my favorite of the series. I recommend doing a double take for books you didn't love the first time around, I liked this series much more the second time. Reading funk be damned, I gave it another shot and felt much better about it. I liked Lucas and Delilah a lot more even though their relationship was...unique.

Freedom

I like the story line on book 4 but i think we didn't need a book 5 with Luca and Delilah. I think the story line could've been better it almost felt like we were going in circles with both characters. Delilah was too pushy and annoying on this book. The narrated was not that great could've been better.

Loved it! ♥️♥️♥️🤩🤩

Ok, so, let me start off by saying yes this is a very dark book and you have to have a taste for this genre of darkness, which yes I do.! No, this does not mean that any part of this book is a fantasy but it does mean I found a connection with some part, if not all parts of this book.
The most touching part of this story that I connected with was the depth of love that was reached, which superseded the amount of darkness in this story, and yes the darkness is insanely massive.
I tip my hat to the authors for being courageous enough to write a book that pulled so many emotions and feelings out of me.
It’s unfortunate to know that some people will read this book and only want to criticize and ignore the other feelings they also felt when reading this book.
Maybe it’s just me but when I read, I sometimes read to escape reality. Especially when reading fictional dark romances!

Interesting story

These 2 Delilah and Lucas grew on me quick. The narrators really matches the voice of the characters. And the steamy scenes are top notch

Ugh, I let the narrators ruin this book for me…again

I for sure will NOT be listening to book 6, I will read it! I just could not get over the voice of the female narrator, Marlaina Garrett. She bugged me from the last book but I’d hoped she’d grow on me. Nope! It took me FOREVER to finish this as it was hard to listen.
The story itself was phenomenal of course as Beck and Hallman ROCK so hard at writing great novels!! We’re left on a cliffy but, thankfully, book 6 is out and ready to be read.
All in all a great BOOK but definitely better to just read it, don’t waste a credit on this.

Loved It

I loved this book. The narrators were perfect. they had emotion and excitement while narrating the story. This book picks up where the first part of Lucas and Dalilahs story left off on. They go through an amazing dark twisted journey together. I can't wait to see what happens in Rens book.

Dark Enemies To Lovers Romance

Reign of Freedom by C. Hallman and J.L. Beck is a dark enemy to lover's romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Marlaina Garrett and Liam DiCosimo. This is the fifth book in The Corium University series.

The relationship between Lucas and Deliliah was extremely messy and completely toxic. But I couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait to dive into the spinoff Touch of Hate so I can get Ren and scarlet's story.

Marlaina and Liam did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a dark romance, enemies to lover's romance, forbidden romance, age gap romance or romantic suspense.

Nice story, but……

I enjoyed everything about this story and characters, however, the narration sounds too robotic. Awesome chemistry between Delilah and Lucas.

Almost DNF

The book was fine, pretty typical angsty romance with communication issues between the characters that lead to mistakes and drama that we all expect. Basically if there is a wrong choice to be made, they do it. Not bad, not groundbreaking either. But the whiny as hell narration for Delilah drove me insane. And it didn’t help that they spoke SO SLOW, dragging every sentence out to an insane degree. I read the first half and enjoyed the character, even though she was a bit weak and hypocritical for my tastes. Listened to the second half and wanted a labotomy. It almost made me almost drop the series completely. The narrator for Lucas was great though, so to get through I had to read the Delilah chapters and listen to the Lucas ones. Glad this one was on the plus catalog so I didn’t waste a credit.

Lucas and Delilah pt2

review applies to both books....it was ok. it was interesting enough to finish and listen to both. the previous book did end abruptly. however I've listened to a decent number of books from connected series and this was not the best in comparison. the most interesting part to me was that it involved Xander's kid Quintin all grown up. the school was a creative concept and they tired to enter some mystery elements. there's a lot going on with the characters in the overall story but I just wasn't feeling a connection between Lucas and Delilah in the previous book. this one was slightly better. they really weren't together all that much with everything going on. I'm not a fan of the female narrator. she wasn't totally awful but not great either.

they get a HEA and sets up for the next book for Ren and Scarlett. also kids from the previous series of the Rossi family grown up but gone rogue apparently.
