About this listen

Are you wanting to nurture healthy, emotionally safe churches? Do you want to belong to a community defined by its emotionally healthy leadership? Maybe you are done with the try harder/burn out approach and you want to join a Christ movement that nurtures sustainable transformation and viral multiplication. You are not alone. Many people are looking for a church that bonds like a family, not just a program, a person, or a building. An organic movement is rising, fueled by joy and led by Jesus that is rediscovering God’s original intent of Christ-communities. By prioritizing emotional well-being and heart-to-heart connection, leaders can cultivate environments where everyone is joy fueled and Jesus led.

In Relational Revolution, LK10’s leaders come together to reveal:

  • God’s heart for relationship-centered Christian living
  • How millions leaving institutional church may not be a bad thing
  • The five values necessary for rediscovering church as heart-to-heart connection
  • Specific ways these values call for a complete overhaul of the predominant Christian culture
  • Ways to join the relational revolution.

What’s stopping you from joining God in transforming an ineffective and, at times, harmful Christian culture into vibrant, loving, spontaneous expressions of hope for the world today.

This book challenged my current paradigm about what church should look like…in a very grace filled and hopeful way! I am excited to learn more about this revolution!

Full of grace filled ideas

They keep using the word church more in line with the institutional church then in the line of what scripture teaches with ecclesia.

I also have concerns about the way they are using the word joy. It feels like it is a synonym of happiness, but the actual definition would be an objective internal state of being that occurs because of our connection with God and his purpose. It’s not really a feeling or emotion.

On the right path, but missing much

Simple. Profound. Eye-opening. Not prejudiced at all just because I’m married to one of the authors. This book is an anthem for a movement to restore healthy attachment with God as the cornerstone of the Church! —Matt Daniels

This is a very accessible summary of the broad objectives of the LK10 ministry. If you are familiar with the Life Model joy conversation, this book adds a bit of nuance to the application for whole communities. As stated by the authors, it’s not a how-to, but more of a declaration of where they are going with the upcoming future books. Still, it is a valuable resource and worth the time.

Succinct and Broad

I really resonated with the clear analysis of the situation with the “done’s” (and, as one professor recently put it ‘the ummm’s’ -those not technically done.. yet, but certainly at a loss as to where they should plug in and feeling very done with status quo). I am encouraged at the vision and values that are described here as the Spirit’s new (ancient) antidote to the toxic norm. This book was quick and straightforward and gives helpful next steps/further resources/organizations that are embodying the change we need to see. The authors are highly educated (head knowledge) AND seasoned with the wisdom that only Spirit-curated experience brings (heart knowledge). I recommend to any done/umm out there who has a heart to jump back in but doesn’t know where to begin. Jesus is doing the thing only He can do, and this crew is partnering with him.

Grateful to hear these ideas articulated so clearly
