Publisher's summary

Mysteries will deepen. Worlds will collide. Destiny will have its say.

After passing with Carter through a fiery portal, Ellie finds herself stranded in a strange new world. There, cryptic messengers and signs point to Carter, the Talos, fulfilling prophecy as the Repairer of the Breach, and Ellie is tasked with a vital job: keeping him alive. At any cost.

However, returning home is also paramount. Back in Fort Worth, an explosive showdown between Nosizwe and Sean Costas is brewing. Loyalties will be tested and sacrifices made. The fate of all shifters hangs in the balance. Only Carter can save his people in both realms—if Ellie can first save him from himself.

Good book

The storyline was interesting and held my attention. Had good drama and some humor. Narrator did a good job of portraying the characters and making me interested in the book and wanting to listen to the book. I received this book through a promo code and this is my honest review.

Exciting Finale

Parents- PG13 - high school and up readers
Language- PG13 - dome language but not super heavy
Violence- PG13- some battle gore and shifter fight scenes
Sexual Content- PG13-R- more discussions and jokes about sex but this book does have a sex scene although not super detailed there is more focus on this aspect of the relationship, and heavy kissing scenes.

This was a really fun series, unique shifter/monster story that keeps you hooked. I really liked the good girl pastors daughter trying to influence the body guard of a mob like shifter organization. It's mix of mob boss, shifter, x-men, Mythology, monsters, action, mystery, thriller and romance... sounds like a crazy mash up that won't work right? Well, it does work beautifully. These books are addictive and fast enough paced that I flew through them.

Narrator- Does a great job with overall narration and differentiation between characters. I preferred listening to this one at 1.35x speed.

Great Paranormal Romance

I enjoyed this last book in the series very much. Once I started listening to the audiobook, I had to stay up late in order to listen to it all. I have come to really like the characters and their arcs. The storyline flowed from one explosive scene to the next. I am a little sad knowing that this series has come to an end, and I recommend it to others who enjoy this genre without equivocation. Melissa Kay Benson's narration was fine, and I found her performance pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Terrific Series Conclusion!!

What an amazing conclusion to this series!!
I enjoyed each book and this ending really was amazing! I was on the edge of my seat and there were a few twists that totally caught me off guard. Carter and Ellie have everyone's fate on their shoulders and there is danger at every turn. Terrific audio narration. Highly recommend!!

Repairer of the Breach

The finale starts off right where the previous one ends!
Carter and Ellie wake up in a new, seemingly empty, world. Ellie displays her personal strength in the new location, not giving up or letting fear rule her actions, because she knows they need to get back. I liked all the relationship aspects Carter and Ellie go through (even in the other books) because a relationship/marriage is work and not all sunshine and roses. Sacrifices must be made and sometimes tough decisions, too.
I think Carter has more character development in this story because he's trying to come to terms with being the "Repairer of the Breach" and all. He has to take a hard look at his life and see what he wants to get out of it.
I really liked the "my wife'" and "my husband" moments in the story! I found it adorable!
I liked how Candace, or Detective Ewing, still had some chapters/scenes from her perspective. She offered another layer to the story, by having a pragmatic outlook to the entire situation, not being led my emotions.
The only thing that I didn't really like was the ending seemed a little drawn out. The climax lasts about 10 chapters and sometimes it's oddly paced and seems to drag the story along.

This is a pretty clean story, with minimal swearing, some violence (there is a climactic battle), and death. There is a fade to black minimally descriptive romantic scene.
This is the fourth book in the series. The previous three need to be read/listened to in chronological order to prior to enjoying this story.

The narrator is the same throughout the series and she does a good job with this book, too! She differentiates the characters well and it's easy enough to follow along with internal thoughts and actual dialogue. I listened at 1.15x speed.

Thrilling conclusion to a great series!

The wait was worth it. All the threads are tied together, everything I hoped would happen was accomplished, and we are left with less of a happily ever after, and more of an invitation to dream about what adventures Carter & Ellie will embark on next. Highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a thrilling, clean, UF read.
