I didn’t expect this book to hit so close to home. I’ve been working through some old stuff in therapy, and this gave me extra tools to reflect and make sense of it all. It made me feel less alone and gave practical ideas I could actually use. It’s not always easy work, but it made things clearer for me. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s trying to heal and make real progress emotionally.

This audiobook struck a nerve in the best way. The section on mapping hidden patterns from childhood helped me see the root of reactions I never understood before. I didn’t expect the exercises to bring up so much, but they helped me connect with parts of myself I hadn’t acknowledged in years. It’s been quietly transformational—gentle but very real.

I wish I'd had this voice a long time ago. As Fleming beautifully describes: your wounds don't define you—they’ve simply been waiting for the healing touch only you can provide.

That could mean a lot of things to different people. But what I got from it is this. You may not be at fault for all the things that happened in the past, and they don't have to trap you forever. But now, it's up to you what your life will be, and what will come from all of it.

And the good news, as Fleming tells us, is you can teach the "inner child" to "ride the bike of life" with joy and compassion ... moving past fear and criticism. If you don't give love to you, how can you count on others to, when they are flawed and on their own journey? It's time to take responsibility for your own heart. To care for your inner child, and give them what they've needed.

The tone is warm and compassionate, guiding you gently. The exercises are simple but effective, low pressure and realistic to implement, but powerful. The book is both validating and empowering.

I would recommend getting it and getting ready for a journey of healing :) you won't regret trying it.
