This was the wonderful end to a wonderful series. Totally worth listening too. Glad to have it wrapped up, unlike some other series.

Great ending.

It is a great story by a great author, and it was preformed very well

It felt like the narrator WAS these characters. He really drew you in and kept you feeling. His prose, consistency with the accents, and personification of the emotions in the story somehow made it even better than it already was. I am so sad to be concluding my journey with these books, but Carol Berg did an amazing job of giving the reader closure and tying up all the ends we all wished to see tied. This series made me laugh and cry, happy and angry, and even pained in some of the things that Seyonne had to go through. I am both sad and excited to continue my exploration of more of Carol's titles. Thank you for your gift to all of us, Carol, and thank you for your amazing performance and bringing these books to life, Kevin. Well done.

I am left speechless with these books

this trilogy are my all time favorite books, but I have to admit the accents mr Stillwell used were a bit different than i imagined when I read them. Alexander with an English accent didn't fit his character, nor did the Irish fit the ezzrians. and when he read a line with a normal tone of voice then the next line of text was something like, "he said forcefully" well, no, he didn't. That being said, his voice and cadence are pleasing. I'm new to audible; i picked my favorite books for my 1st foray, perhaps I'm being too picky. will definitely make good use of my subscription.

love love love carol berg.

A curiously disappointing and meandering conclusion to a truly brilliant and original triptych. Difficult to sustain interest in an endlessly messy Part 3.

Weak Resolution

What made the experience of listening to Restoration the most enjoyable?

The reader was great.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The prince is a funny character.

Which character – as performed by Kevin Stillwell – was your favorite?

All of them.

Any additional comments?

In this last book the protagonist makes a few uncharacteristically unwise decisions that left me scratching my head. Those decisions seemed to drive the story to the desired conclusion the author wanted. The story got a little tiresome 3/4 of the way into it. The ending was good.

Pretty good but not as good as the first two

The first time I read this book and finished it, I cried. Now that I've listened to it for the first time, I feel only eagerness and goosebumps. This is a story after my own life, speaking deeply to my soul and who I am. This is a story I will revisit over the course of my life, in any form, 'til the day I die.

The Beloved Ending...

To avoid spoilers let me just say that I had expected better from the MC than what happened. As brave and good as he was in the first two books, he was more cowardly and less resourceful in this final book of the series. In the end he did not really prevail but rather had some fortuitous luck in the deeds of others. And seems content to live as a sort of shadow of his former self for the rest of his life. One might think him old and retired as the book ends. I got one was left unsatisfied.

Letdown by the ending

Though I liked this story more than the second book, the first book remains far and away my favorite. The story I was most interested in, the political intrigues and betrayals going on in the Derhzi empire, was happening at the far periphery of the story happening on the page. I just wasn't that interested in the history of the Ezzarian's or their legends at this point. I would've loved for this book to have been from Aleksander's POV because while I love Seyonne, it got a bit wearisome being in his head all the time. The narration was on point.
