Learn why vagus nerve healing is so important
This is a calming audible that I thoroughly enjoyed as I learned about the gut-brain connection. The author dedicates her story to her dad as motivation for writing this book and speaks of her own experiences. I learned so much about the vagus nerve and its amazing effects on our bodies and anxiety levels. I had no idea how my anxiety created my digestive issues. I enjoyed that it wasn’t all sciencey. I felt like my good friend was teaching me easy to implement strategies such as deep breathing, HRV tracking, vagal toning, journaling and so much more. Highly recommended.

Fascinating concept well explained
Dutro does a good job of digging into what the vagus nerve is and why it is important. This 4 hr and 20-minute read covers everything you need to know in a short time. My favorite part was the 5-15 minute DAILY integration. I love to walk away from a book with something I can implement immediately and it doesn't seem overwhelming. Who doesn't have 5 minutes a day to improve their health?? : )

A great guide about everything VAGUS!
This book was perfect timing for me to come across and have the opportunity to read. I am seeing a holistic doctor and he is always preaching for me to strengthen my vagus nerve. The extent of my research was asking him what that means, and he would say look it up on youtube! There is a language barrier! So enter this book! Starting with the dedication, I knew her heart was all in on writing this book. Wow, I had no idea all the wonderful things we need our vagus nerve to help our bodies function properly! And the author did an amazing job making this readable for a non-technical person like myself so that I understand exactly what this valuable nerve is and what it does! If you only ever get one book on vagus nerve, this is the one you need! The author explains the path of the vagus nerve in your body, what organ it touches and exactly what it does. She also gives easy suggestions to help you do simple exercises to strengthen it. They are things you are likely already doing but didn't know it was helpful, like chewing gum, gargling, massage and exercise to name a few. These are things that will help improve vagal tone. I also love how at the end of each chapter there is a recap of what was covered. The best part is the workbook that comes with the book at her website. This is a great guide and I'm happy it's in my library now! You won't be disappointed, highly recommend! And as for the narrator, her voice was calm, like sitting down with a friend and her delivery of the material was perfect!

Simple Yet Life-Changing Techniques
I had heard about the vagus nerve before, but this book really broke it down in a way that made sense. The exercises are easy to follow, and I was surprised at how quickly I noticed a difference in my stress levels and sleep quality. It’s not just theory—these are practical steps that actually work. If you’re looking for a natural way to improve your overall well-being, this book is definitely worth reading.
