GOOD BEGINNG TO A GREAT STORY

Any additional comments?

THE FRIST THREE BOOKS OF THIS SERIES ARE GREAT ,IT IS REALLY NEW AND DIFFERT WAY OF WRITING SCI-FI ,THE STORY MAKES GREAT READING IF ALL THREE BOOKS ARE READ TOGETHER. BOOK ONE SETS THE PLAYERS , BOOK TWO SETS THE PLOT, BOOK THREE TELLS THE STORY, WITH ACTION ALL THE WAY THROUGH.

Mixed feelings

I really do love this entire project. The multiple POVs - and multiple authors - working together have formed a truly complex and interesting world full of meta-humans and nazis duking it out. They do large scale action and battles in ways I haven't read/ listened to in other books. And still, throughout, they somehow they usually manage to make it feel grounded in a sense of reality, or at least their own brand of everyday reality, and you come to really feel for the characters.

I think that is part of my problem, I listened to this first three straight through and was invested in the people - so when we're hit with John Murdock's plot twist at the end of this book....well without giving away spoilers, it was painful to listen to.

I don't know if I'm alone in this, and it will probably be worked out, but what happened made me angry.

I'm probably going to take a break from the series for a bit before I dive into the fourth book - not because of lack of quality but so I lose my disappointment a bit, and get some emotional distance from it.
