About this listen

Rachel always thought I was wasting my life on the Sinners, but being Prez is all I've ever wanted to be.

When she tore us apart on her journey to become someone, I let her go. I made sacrifices for her because I knew why she had to prove herself. I just didn't realize that would involve freezing me out for years.

Now, she's the best criminal attorney in the Tri-state area, and I'm still Prez—only my world is falling apart. The MC is under scrutiny, our dirty secrets are being laundered in the public eye, and some of my brothers could be facing jail time.

Only one woman can stop that from happening—Rachel.

She'll fight for my brothers, but will she fight for us?

Rex is part one of the Last Bachelor Duet, followed by Rachel.

Great read!!

Rex has always been my fave and I’m so glad I finally get to hear part of his story. I love a strong male character who is supportive and knows what his woman needs! This one will get you in all the feels.

Story was fantastic but. . .

The story was great but narrators didn’t match the characters. Especially the female character. I can’t see the successful lawyer speaking with such little confidence. Don’t get me started on the sentence delivery, one word, pause, another word then this whole conversation in her head. I had to speed it up when she spoke. This book was more about Rachel and her insecurities . She really wasn’t likeable. Yes, what happened to her was horrible but I don’t know how someone can go through that and be so judgmental! There are other characters in the series who also suffered but make you root for them, cry with them and who you can relate to. Then there’s Rex who is a Prez but won’t stand up to Rachel..weak! I’m really hoping in the next book “Rachel” the story line will show a better side to both Rachel & Rex! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Awesome!

Finally, Rex & Rachael's story and it was worth the build up and the wait to hear it! So often, with different authors/series, I wait for the big story, building throughout the series, falls so below my expectations, the series becomes a waste. NOT THIS BOOK! Rex and Rachael take their time to do their relationship right. They slowly build a foundation of stone through communication, making mistakes, forgiving each other for the present and past, and finally sketching out a future for themselves and their family. The book ends on a cliffhanger but nothing can destroy a strong foundation. I was able to relate to Rachael and her internal struggles with the world's perception of her and how different that perception is to reality. I waited until the second book was published before I started Rex and Rachael's story and I am so happy I did. This is a great story that brings in interactions of characters from previous stories; this added to the plot of the current story, as well as. inspiring feelings of connectiveness and family. Serena Akeroyd never disappoints and I highly recommend the series and this book.

Loving how each book continues the story line on all the characters in the series. It's so satisfying and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Omg

Slow with the backstory telling

I dislike when the male has to read the women parts and vice versa . Loved the ending always on the edge of seat ready to hear the next book

Complex story line

This was the best one yet. I’ve enjoyed the series but I would listen to this one again. So many different stories. Some are a continuation from previous books some are new. Love the whole series.

At last...

Twentieth in The Five Points‘ universe. Rex was a character that was there from the beginning. He and Rachel were always present in big and small ways. His story was good but my expectations were bigger, still very glad we finally got his side of things. Ms Akeroyd is amazing with how interwoven all the characters and story arcs truly are.
