These five brides-to-be are ready to get hitched in San Angelo, Texas - and it’s Ace and Chance’s job to get them to the church on time. But this is no easy walk down the aisle. It’s one hard journey that could get them all killed....

This is a very well rounded Western, filed with action, saloons, trains ,gunslingers, barfights, etc. to keep ones attention. It starts with the two Jensen boys entering a a small town just finishing a hard days ride on the trail. As usual they looked for livery stable, for their horses, hotel, for a nice soothing bath, a place to get something to eat and last, but not least, a saloon to soothe their thirst.
When they entered the saloon They saw a glass jar sitting on the counter with a rattle snake in it. He asked the bartender what was up? He laughed and told him that it was his. He had name it Chauncy. Murphy, the bartender, it was a test he made up to see who could tap on the jar three times and keep his finger there without moving it. He also said it was a nice way to make money. He told him it would cost five dollars to try, which he matched for the winner. He said no one yet had done it yet. Ace said , "I can". This brought the attention of a gunslinger, Bailey who pushed Ace aside and said Hell, I'll do it as Ace stepped aside, for he didn't want trouble. It didn't end there, for a gunslinger bully stomped over when his Pard, Bailey failed. He and Ace got into a contest which Ace won, but, Shelby said he moved his finger, to which Ace denied. He failed the test, but Ace won and Shelby knew it. It didn't end there. The Marshall walked in and he settled it. Shelby said Ace moved his finger, while Ace protested. The Marshall said it was one man's word against the other, he wisked whole group of five men off to jail. Ace lost four hundred dollars, but he two boys decided to head out in the morning early before the two were released.
It didn't end there either, for If you have read about the Jensen boys in the past, you know trouble always finds them. This story continues that. This whole story is not only the about a dam snake challenge you will hear about, and many more predicaments they find themselves involved in. It involves, trains, outlaws, brutal gunsingers, saloon shootouts and much more to this story.
I love to settle back in the evening , relax and listen to good Westerns. The Johnston Brothers will do that. Their Narrator is usually Jack Garrett who always does a great job.
He has a nack of doing just that.
I recommend this book to all those who enjoy listening to well written Westerns.
