Publisher's summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of the Marked Men books comes the next installment in the Saints of Denver series.

Everyone else in Dixie Carmichael's life has made falling in love look easy, and now she is ready for her own chance at some of that happily ever after. Which means she's done pining for the moody, silent former soldier who works with her at the bar that's become her home away from home. Nope. No more chasing the hot as heck thundercloud of a man, and no more waiting for Mr. Right to find her; she's going hunting for him, even if she knows her heart is stuck on its stupid infatuation with Dash Churchill.

Denver has always been just a pit stop for Church on his way back to rural Mississippi. It was supposed to be simple, uneventful, but nothing could have prepared him for the bubbly, bouncy redhead with doe eyes and endless curves. Now he knows it's time to get out of Denver - fast. For a man used to living in the shadows, the idea of spending his days in the sun is nothing short of terrifying.

When Dixie and Church find themselves caught up in a homecoming overshadowed by lies and danger, Dixie realizes that while falling in love is easy, loving takes a whole lot more work, especially when Mr. Right thinks he's all wrong for you.

Amazing

Would you listen to Riveted again? Why?

Yes, I would. I loved this series. I relistened to the other books before I got to this one. In the future I definitely would listen to this. It's a great book.

Helps to read Marked Men series first, gives characters more depth, but not necessary. Great author.

Great voices for the characters. The story has good twist. The author writes a good story. I have read everything written.

Love the SoD

I already loved this book but both narrarators really made this story come alive. let me just say that Sean Bassett's voice is enough to make a woman's panties combust! I could listen to him all day!

Love these bad boys

Any additional comments?

Jay is one of my one click authors, I enjoy her bad boys very much. All of her boys have troubled pasts and or presents and her girls struggle with them and for them. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next one.

I Was Riveted!

I confess that I've never read/ listened to a Crownover book I haven't loved. And this is no different. Church was a man of mystery in previous books that I was dying to know more about, but Dixie was a background character I hadn't really paid attention to. Church and Dixie's love story was completely unexpected and perfect all at the same time. The chemistry was undeniable. With the touch of mystery, some action and even more sexy time, I was riveted.

I listened to Riveted on audiobook and I loved it! Bassett's voice brought life to Church's character. It felt authentic with the distinct dialect and sexy southern drawl. Wyles' sweet voice matched Dixie's lovable and caring persona. The narration was absolute perfection.

Oh My GOSH! Love some Dixie & Church!

What did you love best about Riveted?

I absolutely loved the story line. It was unexpected, but by far one of my favorites by Jay Crownover. This story is very intense so hold on to your seats as you listen to it. If you love soldiers, even former soldiers you need to meet Church.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oh my goodness, this is such a hard question because I love both Church and Dixie equally. Overall my favorite character in the story is Dixie. She's a little firecracker and doesn't take anything from anybody. I wish I had the stones that she does.

Which character – as performed by Stephanie Wyles and Sean Bassett – was your favorite?

My absolute favorite character when it's narrated is Church. There is something about his personality and the way the story is narrated that's absolutely amazing.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I have several reactions to this book, but one of the biggest ones is frustration because of how stubborn Dixie is for the longest time. Totally worth it in the end, but still incredibly frustrating.

Another Masterpiece

Beautiful! The characters, the story... Jay can seriously whip up a fantastic recipe for romance! She's created a few of my very favorite (non)Heroes of all time. (Hello, Bax! I would sell my soul to Satan just to have you materialize right in front of me)
And now Church!
*sigh*
He's broody, hard, broken, protective and sexy.
Seriously, what's not to love? Because I did. I loved every word written about him.
Dixie:
Dixie was fun. She reminded me of myself. I've survived too many of life's blows to count, and we both just keep on smiling. That's her. She's peppy, positive and selfless.

The drama is light. There isn't any cheating, no OW/OM (besides one date that Dixie is on in the very beginning of the story). No frustrating misunderstandings. Dixie isn't a runner. Quite the opposite, actually.

Now, I'd just like to point out that the steam factor was OFF THE CHARTS!! This is, by far, Jay's hottest book in the bedroom (and out of it) department. Seriously.
Jay, Girl, You knocked it outta the park.
And A BILLION STARS, every single star in the sky, is given for the narration. Honestly, Church's voice had me walking into furniture, nearly slicing off my fingers while cooking. I highly recommend you don't listen while driving. That voice reading sexy scenes is dan-ger-ous!
*phew*

Loved the male narrator

I could’ve listened to Sean Bassett read the dictionary, but hearing him read this book was incredible! He really made Church a sympathetic character, where otherwise I might not have empathized with his decisions and feelings. Definitely a must-listen!

Church!!!!!

Sean Bassett is a new-to-me narrator and wow! His voice!! So deep and manly, LOL! I liked Stephanie Wyles’ narration too so performance wise, this was GREAT book.

As for the story — hello, angst!!! YES! There were twists and turns I did not see coming and that made me extremely excited. I love being surprised in books.

My heart was constantly breaking for Church. He held so much guilt inside, I am surprised it didn’t cripple him. The pain was intense and the author did an amazing job describing it all.

Dixie was a hoot! I loved how honest and sassy she was!

The chemistry between Dixie and Church was H-O-T-T HOT and it sizzled!!!

Great story, talented narrators make this a fantastic audiobook!!

Overall, a must read/listen!! Five stars!!
