Did you know the typical small business owner works three to four months just to earn enough profit to pay taxes? Whether you've been in business for several decades or are breaking ground as a new entrepreneur, taxes are a significant expenditure. They must be accounted for and incorporated into your business plan from the very beginning. Failing to account for taxes when planning, budgeting, and assessing revenue goals for a business is like failing to account for the expense of your rent or mortgage.

Nonprofit expert Erik Hanberg wrote The Little Book of Nonprofit Leadership to speak directly to executive directors of small (and very small) nonprofits who are asking these questions. EDs, especially at small nonprofits, tend to be dropped into the deep end of the pool with the expectation that they know how to swim. Pauline Maier recounts the dramatic events of the ensuing debate in homes, taverns, and convention halls, drawing generously on the speeches and letters of founding fathers, both familiar and forgotten, on all sides.

Awesome guide! Highly Recommended!
What made the experience of listening to Robert's Rules: QuickStart Guide - The Simplified Beginner's Guide to Robert's Rules of Order the most enjoyable?
The best part about this is how easy it is to understand. Robert's Rules of Order is not the most simple or easy to understand book, however this guide uses plain language to make understanding the rules and knowing how to use them very easy, even for those who are not particularly familiar with parliamentary or formal language.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Robert's Rules: QuickStart Guide - The Simplified Beginner's Guide to Robert's Rules of Order?
There was a portion where they did a dialog example of a meeting using Robert's Rules and using the information provided in the book. It gave great context and made it much easier to understand how things are used and progress in an actual meeting.
What about Peter Bierma’s performance did you like?
He read clearly, was easy to understand, and does not have a grating voice.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It is short enough that it was easy to listen to in one sitting.
Any additional comments?
As someone experienced using Robert's Rules in a high school Student Congress speech competition, this was a great overview and clarified a lot of things that are often difficult to understand. Whether you have experience with Robert's Rules or not, I highly recommend this guide.

A great intro but too much packed into it.
“Full Disclosure: I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review”
I will say that this is my first experience studying Robert's Rules. As a club leader I found most of the ideas too formal for the meetings i intended to use it for. This would be a five star review if it came with a simple pdf companion. Many are found with a simple internet search. As someone that has spent a lot of time in academia, I found the concepts of this book very interesting. Like all books from this publisher its a sample of a larger concept. I don't think you could learn roberts rules from this book, but you could learn if its for you.

Great foundation for executing democratic process
Where does Robert's Rules: QuickStart Guide - The Simplified Beginner's Guide to Robert's Rules of Order rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
For this genre it ranks first. If you ever participate in or, create a formal process by democratic agreement, Roberts Rules is an absolute must. It is the only process known and acknowledged by all parties as a viable organizational system for the production of a result from a democratic meeting process. “Full Disclosure: I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review”
