They are the guidelines for conducting a meeting, allowing business to be carried out as smoothly and orderly as possible. Although I will not be able to detail the many nuances and special rules, the basics needed to conduct a meeting are explained that should help a meeting stay on track from start to finish.

Story
Few figures in American politics have seen more and said less than Mitt Romney. An outspoken dissident in Donald Trump’s GOP, he has made headlines in recent years for standing alone against the forces he believes are poisoning the party he once led. Romney was the first senator in history to vote to remove from office a president of his own party. When that president’s supporters went on to storm the US Capitol, Romney delivered a thundering speech from the Senate floor accusing his fellow Republicans of stoking insurrection.

This is an easily digestible argument about what rights we have, what rights Republicans are trying to take away, and how to stop them. Mystal explains how to protect the rights of women and people of color instead of cowering to the absolutism of gun owners and bigots. He explains the legal way to stop everything from police brutality to political gerrymandering, just by changing a few judges and justices. He strips out all of the fancy jargon conservatives like to hide behind and lays bare the truth of their project to keep America forever tethered to its slaveholding past.

Bush is remembered for orchestrating one of the largest and most successful military campaigns in history - the Gulf War - Sununu argues that conventional wisdom misses many of Bush's other great achievements.

When the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia adjourned late in the summer of 1787, the delegates returned to their states to report on the new Constitution, which had to be ratified by specially elected conventions in at least nine states. Pauline Maier recounts the dramatic events of the ensuing debate in homes, taverns, and convention halls, drawing generously on the speeches and letters of founding fathers, both familiar and forgotten, on all sides.

Story
Drawing on interviews with executives from Fortune 500 companies, Kathleen Kelley Reardon has compiled essential advice on how to break into the inner circle of power at the top of the corporate ladder. Many books cover practical business knowledge, but few address the issue of interpersonal skills. The ever-changing circle of power within a corporation may not necessarily follow the same guidelines it publicly professes. The most talented employee isn't always the one promoted; there is an intangible quality the upper echelon look for.

Great job.
What did you love best about Robert's Rules?
This is, in reality, new to me. This the first occasion, when I am perusing about Robert guidelines and this book, could help me comprehend it more. I could find out about Robert's Rules: an establishment for achievement, making ordinances, establishments of an appropriate meeting and furthermore the part and duty.

Highly appreciated!!
Have you listened to any of Mike Norgaard’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This summary not only updates information to the most current level but also manages to synthesize important points in entertaining and useful manner. Nothing to compare of
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
This book was written for executives, organizers, parliamentarians, and other organizations to easily understand the fundamentals of Robert's Rules of Order and put them into action.
Any additional comments?
Robert's Rules is a standard work that anyone who is involved with any type of deliberative organization must be familiar with. One thing I did find strange with this book was that there was no author or executive editor listed. If there was, I would be happy to commend them. The book makes plain that Robert's Rules themselves are intended to help users avoid wasting time. As a person who has been caught up in many long, drawn-out and useless meetings, I appreciated this insight.

Clear and Simple
What made the experience of listening to Robert's Rules the most enjoyable?
The best part about this is how easy it is to understand. Robert's Rules of Order is not the most simple or easy to understand book, however this guide uses plain language to make understanding the rules and knowing how to use them very easy, even for those who are not particularly familiar with parliamentary or formal language.
Which character – as performed by Mike Norgaard – was your favorite?
very easy to understand. he had great pacing as well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
N/A
Any additional comments?
This was a great explanation of Robert's Rules of Order, including it's history and origins. There were practical explanations of how it is used, why it is used, and how to start using it in your organization. If you are planning to start a community organization, are planning a career in business management, are government employee, or are a part of a student organization at a university, this will definitely be of benefit to you.

Robert's Rules of Order.....great briefcase book!
An excellent and detailed guide. I only found one instance not covered by it: What does it take to rescind a previous motion requiring a two thirds vote to pass? The requirements in the book only speak about a motion being rescinded by a two thirds vote if it was not in the agenda of the meeting; but requiring only a majority vote if it was in the agenda of the meeting. Otherwise, this book covers everything and is an essential guide to parliamentary proceedings. This is the book that is a must have for your library. Other parliamentary procedure books make it easy to understand, but this is foundation book. It is small enough to travel with you and very easy to listen. You don't really need any "quick find" or "condensed" versions.

Know everything about robert's rules
What did you like best about this story?
It talks deeply about motions and having roles and responsibilities for each persons.
Any additional comments?
Simply it's about forming an organization strategically and effectively. Many people think this concept is easy but there's so many moving parts to it that's it's better having a guide to make sure you cover all your bases. This audiobook just does that and I recommend to any group of people wanting to learn the effectiveness of robert's rules.

Not an Appropriate Title
This is more of a “how to” book and deals more with the creation of an entity.

Helpful, but expected more specific information
Helpful. I was searching for something that ran through a whole meeting to demonstrate how motions are done, what needs to be voted on and what doesn't, etc. I was looking for something more cut and dry. This is useful for bigger more corporate meetings than the type of meetings I have.

Blah
The subtitle of this book is The Ultimate Guide to Understanding the Practicing Robert's Rules of Order, I felt this book severally failed to even live up to a practical guide, much less an ultimate guide.
