Love this book!

I won a Promotional Copy in a giveaway by the Author and what a great book it is! I love the storyline and the different characters in the book. The Author and the Narrator made the book very enjoyable. I love how the Narrator did different accents for the different characters and it made the story easy to listen to and it made the book and the characters come to life. I would suggest Roman Interlude to everyone. It takes you into a different world where dreams come true. This is one of my favorite books!

A great story, well told.

Roman Interlude is a romance novel set in modern-day Italy. The main character, an American, Ciara DiLodicci, has planned a month-long vacation to Italy to visit the land of her heritage. She invited her boyfriend to accompany her, but for reasons you'll enjoy discovering, he chooses to stay behind.

Ciara's solo trip opens her to unanticipated adventures and—within moments of getting off the plane—an introduction to a a true Italian gentleman.

Both Ciara and her love interest are are well-defined and believable. The secondary characters? Likewise. This, for me, is a character-driven story. Yet the author also did a great job building the world they live in. I suspect the author has spent considerable time in Italy because his descriptions paint a clear picture that lets you "see" what's being described.

I don't usually read romance stories, but I won a promotional copy of this book on Audible.com and thoroughly enjoyed reading (actually, listening to) something out of my normal wheelhouse. By the way, the narrator, Anna Castiglioni, was pleasant to listen to and did a good job intoning different voices, both male and female, in a way that felt natural. All in all, a great story, well told.

Enjoy an amazing trip to Italy

**I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.**

I can't say enough great things about this book. I loved the story, the characters, the scenery. It was such a great romantic novel, with a fair amount of heat.

Good story, just not for me

Did Anna Castiglioni do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I had a hard time with the narration, it seemed like it had been sped up and was kind of choppy. I tried changing the speed but it just didn't click for me. That being said she does accents amazingly well. Her Italian was perfect!

Any additional comments?

I'll probably buy the book, it was a good story.
