A shrinking school in a dying town. A face in the window of an empty house. At first these facts don't seem to be related. But Ted Hammond learns that in a very small town, there's no such thing as an isolated event. And the solution of one mystery is often the beginning of another.

What did you love best about Room One?
The narration paired with the story. A clever Ted Hammond is not only a perfectionist regarding accomplishments but he is prepared like every good scout. This is a modern time story and won't stand the test of time but it is an enjoyable story regarding farm children who are part of a team, not just a kid. Good for a family reading. If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A film? Why waste the time and money? Books have an entirely different sensation. The are also custom fitted to each reader/listener because we choose the exact color of blue, the brand of peanut butter and size of someone's shoes. Films are overrated when it comes to the idea that all books should be turned to film. It is a rare specimen that is better than the book. Rare indeed!Very cute.
