About this listen

What would happen if the noisiest, most talkative class of 5th graders in history dared each other not to talk for 48 hours? This is the premise Andrew Clements explores in one of his most compelling stories yet.©2007 Andrew Clements. All rights reserved (P)2007 Simon and Schuster Inc. All rights reserved. Critic reviews

"Despite the rivalry that started the contest, the longstanding animosity between the boys and girls dissipates as the students bond over the experiment. Presuming the novel doesn't generate similar contests in real life, readers may be compelled to use their voices to praise Clement's deft handling of an interesting premise." ( Publishers Weekly)

another amazing title

Clements - as always - breaks the Children's fiction mold today that puts adults in the backseat and lets kids rule the world. In this book, the kids remain the center of the text while adults are portrayed as real people - smart, flawed, and good. Refreshing!

I liked this story more than some of the other books by Andrew Clements and the narrating is spot on!

This was a fantastic read!

The story was a great read, my three kids sat quietly on the road trip! They were entertained and inspired to start their own game!

My review

It was a great story!
But it had some impolite language (L).

Great!

This book is really good! The only problems with it are they call each other losers and it might give kids ideas about only speaking with three words
