Publisher's summary

A Sapphic fantasy romance about a girl with abusive guardians who discovers magic and a new family of her own.

Eve has a difficult life with abusive guardians who won't give her any room to grow. To make matters worse, she needs to keep her bisexuality and girlfriend a secret from her religious mother, Barb. But because nothing is easy for the miserable college student, Barb catches Eve kissing her girlfriend and kicks her out of the house on a cold December night.

With nowhere to go, the now-unhoused student wanders around downtown until she stumbles into the shop of a fortune teller named Odessa. The divinity witch offers Eve a truth long kept from her: Her real name is Aoife, and she comes from a line of powerful druids who keep the balance between man, monsters, and nature.

The newly-awakened druid soon finds herself in the company of a fey guardian named Adrienn, sworn to protect her for all her life, and a wolf familiar named Ruad, who was once bonded to her father.

But with this new identity comes a dark and tragic history. Aoife also learns her entire druid family was slaughtered by a mysterious necromancer, and he's been searching for the sole survivor of that bloody day. With Adrienn and Ruad guiding her, Aoife will have to learn new magic and walk a risky path that'll put her heart and life in danger.

Of course, the druid will also discover a new family who accepts and loves her as she is. And together, they'll fight to reclaim her destiny from the necromancer that stole everything.

Roving Darkness and the Druid's Destiny is a heartfelt tale about a girl who finds the family she's always wanted and the costs that come along with it. It's full of action, magic, Sapphic romance, tears, and laughs.

Wonderful story and a great beginning.

This is a fantastic story and sets up a wonderful world ripe for further exploration. While it is a sapphic tale, even a guy like myself was able to relate to the main character. I really enjoyed the performance, as it helped in drawing me in to the narration and visualizing what was happening. Highly recommend this book.

Fun story, mehh narration

The story is a lot of fun, really enjoy the characters and progression, and I enjoy the way the storyline finishes but leaves things open for potential sequels too. Sadly, the performance leaves a lot to be desired, ms. Grumorne somehow has the ability to take all emotion out of the story making it a lot harder to properly enjoy it. Still gonna get the next one in the series though.
