Publisher's summary

A princess on the run finds her version of a prince in this epic beginning to the Tattered Royals stand-alone series.

I never asked for my tiara.

My dreams were always bigger than a palace. They're as big as the world.

Being fourth in line for the throne should have guaranteed me freedom.
I thought I was one step from walking away forever, but a long-forgotten rule forces me to run instead.

I refuse to marry a Duke and bear an heir to save our titles.

I trust my brothers to find a way to save my future, but first, I need to save myself.

Only, I never expected to meet danger...and Kannon Adams along the way.

I never asked for her.

My security business has secured all the clueless princess types I can handle. Princess London Waterford of Alden is a whole other level of trouble.

Not to mention gorgeous and tempting as royal sin. Too bad she’s also in danger. When the bullets fly, I trust no one else to protect her, even if she pushes me away.

Together, we must find who's behind the threat to her life and try not to get caught in the crossfire.

One night together might never be enough, but if those who want her dead have a say, it’ll be our last.

Royally Torn

I am really torn writing this review. I both read the book and listened to it. I enjoyed reading it more.

I enjoyed the story of Kannon and London together. I enjoyed how they met, how they proceed, and all the ups and downs of their relationship. I enjoyed the side characters including those who work with Kannon and London's brothers, and I look forward to the next in the series.

What I really didn't like was the narration. I thought the female voice was too mature sounding for the words she was reading and the accent she chose was difficult to listen to. The male voice was ok.

All-in-all, I think this one was much more enjoyable as a read, not as a listen.

Bodyguard and opposites attract

I love the unconventional ways that Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone bring in to make this a bodyguard trope come to life. I really love how head strong the FMC is and how she stands her ground all while protecting her family to the best of her ability. London is a princess with ideas of what life should be like for her and will not listen to the no her family tries to tell her. The pairing of these main characters brings another level to opposites attract as well.
The narrators gave these characters full personalities through their voices.

Royal Line

This is an interesting story. Drama at the court of Alden had London fleeing like a thief in the night but someone knows and has made it their mission to get her out of the way. Lucky for London the right man just happens to be in the right place at the right time. Keeping London safe brings out something in Kannon and soon emotions enter the picture. Kannon may have saved London that night but his past still haunts him. The two are good together but Kannon must forgive his past if he wants to look towards any kind of future. As the two try to figure out how they fit together they must also find out who is after London and why. Their story moves at a good pace and has a nice mix of mystery and angst. Narrators Lacy Laurel and Graham Halstead brought emotion to the story but I was not fond of some of the voices used for the characters.

amazing story

Omg Carrie Ann Ryan anf Nana Malone sure know how to team up and write an amazing story. You are sucked in and spit it none the wiser on the fact it is a duo written story. The characters and plot build is simply amazing and keeps you turning the page. I absolutely enjoyed this and recommend you go forth and read this.

The narration to this is so awesome to listen to. I really enjoy this. Go forth and listen or read.

Loved it!

I don't usually like romances with royalty BUT I loved this one. London and Kannon made me fall in love with this book. They were such well written characters who I became really invested in. I also loved the secondary characters in this book. I could see each one getting their own story..
I also loved the accents used in this story. They were well done and totally fit the characters. That can make or break and audiobook in my opinion. I will be listening to this one again.

Different Worlds

This was the first royal book I've listened to, and I really enjoyed the story. There was action, suspense, drama, and of course, romance. However, though I enjoyed the story, I struggled with the narration as Lacy's attempt to sound royal missed its mark. Graham was new to me, and I really enjoyed his narration.

Steamy and suspensful, I loved this story!

I recently had the opportunity to listen to Royal Line by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone and I loved it. This is the first book in their new series of royals, Tattered Royals and I am all here for it. Narrated by Lacy Laurel and Graham Halstead, this was an enemies to lovers story that will captivate you right from the start. An old and very outdated law has come to light stating London must marry and provide an heir. Not ready to give up on her life yet and with the protection of her brothers, they set out to find a way around this. Then London finds trouble, literally, and not just in the form of one handsome, protective Kannon. Steamy, suspenseful, and witty, I loved listening to this story and am very excited to see what is coming next in the series!

Happy reading!

What can I say?

Wow, what a start to a new series. Mayhem, betrayal, mishaps and whatnot. How can you go wrong? If I tell you any more than that I will give something away and that would be a crime. So this is the extent of my review.

Lacy Laurel and Graham Halstead are a very good pairing for this book. At first I wasn't sure about Ms Laurel. London is only 29 years old, but she sounds so much older. However, as the book goes on you see her vulnerability. She only has the older, more polished speech when she needs to control her environment. As for Mr Halstead, I enjoyed his version of Cannon (with a K, hee hee) and how he interacted with London. But his interaction with her brothers is classic.

Meh....

I have read a lot of books by Carrie Ann Ryan and loved all of them but this just did not do anything for me. Maybe it was the female narrator., I struggled with her in this book! The heroine just came off as bitchy to me through out the book and I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the 2 main characters.
