About this listen

What happens when destiny gets it wrong?

I’m a fae beast king. It’s preordained that I have to take a mate, and it can’t be just anyone. The universe will decide on my behalf. All I know is that my fated mate will be an enchantress of great power and that when the universe chooses her for me…I must obey. To fight the calling will mean my demise. I have come to trust the process. The Great Unknown would never steer me wrong.

Then I find her: Gabriella is everything I thought she would be and more. Beautiful beyond compare, terrifying, all-powerful… Unfortunately, she’s also tainted by great evil. Her father put his dark magic into her, turning her into something twisted and wicked.

I embark on a mission with her twin sister, Fallon. Together, we’re going to save Gabriella. We’ll find a way to bring her back. We have to!

Then I do something really stupid…I fall for the wrong sister. It happens without me even realizing it. The problem is that Fallon and I can never be together. Gabriella is my destiny. Apparently, the universe is an asshole!

Ruin is the second book in a series about monsters of all kinds. If you enjoy fated mates, forbidden romance, sassy heroines, and swoon-worthy beast kings who are almost untamable, then this is the series for you.

Good book but

The time to say no and protest is before the first time, not after several times. This book was hilarious thanks to Tristan and Meg. Their characters private thoughts were so funny. Interesting storyline and great narration. Looking forward to listening to the next book.

Male Narrator needs Improvement, but I still gave it a listen to continue the series. USE A CREDIT for a LOWER PRICE THO

OK. LET ME GIVE YOU the RUN DOWN BEFORE YOU BUY. The FEMALE NARRATOR IS GREAT. The MALE NARRATOR IS ROBOTIC & REALLY SUCKS in BOOK 1, improves a little in EACH NEW BOOK. IN MY OPINION ONLY (NOT CONFIRMED) he might have been new when starting this series or at least I hope so, lol. his sound (base, deepness is nice), it's just the ROBOTIC "being read to bore" that is annoying. BUT LIKE I SAID, HE IMPROVES EACH BOOK & there is alot of the GREAT FEMALE NARRATOR & of course a GREAT STORY to DISTRACT and help you OVERLOOK the male NARRATORS flaws.
🔴 In addition, I would like to say don't let the negative statement I have said about the male NARRATOR deter you from buying the book as it is intended to be a WARNING or PREPARATION and Other reasons WHY.
📌 #1 THE SERIES IS WORTH IT.
📌#2 WE ALL GET OUR START SOMEWHERE. I can HONESTLY SAY, the male narrator has a SEXY TONE/VOICE. I just think he hasn't found his pace & comfort zone yet. As a matter of fact, I believe he has SERIOUS POTENTIAL, and in a few years he will be a narrator women search for because he does have that attractive tone we all look for. So keep an eye out for his name in 2-3 years because I would bet he's gonna make it big. He just has not found his "groove" yet, lol. So like i said, ROBOTIC now, but hella potential. With that that said and being aware going in, the book series and female narrator MORE THAN picks up ANY slack and it's totally worth the CREDIT . I DID THINK the BOOKS were WAY OVER PRICED at $23 EACH , so i used my CREDITS to get them for $11 and they are TOTALLY WORTH $11.
🔴🚨🔴🚨 PERSONAL NOTE: BEWARE: I have NOTICED a HUGE INCREASE in PRICES on HERE RECENTLY & it's REDICULOUS. We have SEVERAL PLATFORM OPTIONS to NOT PAY these INFLATION PRICES. Therefore, do NOT FEEL OBLIGATED to ONLY BUY in ONE LOCATION. JUST SAYING. I DEARLY LOVE AUDIBLE, but LATELY some PRICES are HIGHER than BARNES & NOBLE ( I CHECKED✔️) 😘😘😘
🔴🎤📣📌🗣 As for this particular book in the series, It wasn't my "jam". ➡️➡️HOWEVER, there was NOT anything wrong with it. It was actually AWESOME, INTRIGUING , and all check marks were there for a great paranormal book. I'm just not a Fae fan. This series covers them all, so I'm looking forward to the next one which I think will be the DRAGONS‼️ I haven't looked ahead yet to check, so I could be wrong, I'm just going off of where this one left off. But if it is the DRAGONS, I'm about to have a BLAST 👂LISTENING😈‼️

enjoy🎤👂🎤👂🎤😘❤️🤍💙🇺🇸. AUDIBLE ❤️ 4 LIFE

Hot Danm!

All I got to say is Meg Price should have read entire series by herself.

Good series

I am waiting for the Fire Dragon Series by this author, I wish more of the books were on Audible. I tried this series because I can both read and listen to the first 4 books. It's pretty good, I definitely suggest giving it a try.

Still loving the story

I am still loving the story. I was worried about which way it was going to go, but in the end I was satisfied. The male narration is still killing me. The surfer dude voice and whiny girl he does makes me laugh when it’s not supposed to be funny. It make me think of men playing women in Shakespeare. But the story is still to my liking. I will continue to book 3.

Worth the credit

This was a good book but a little warning while the female narrator is great the males is grating to say the least.

“If I can’t save her. I can’t mate her, and if I…”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎
Character development: ☹️😮😋😉
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Dual Narration

The Hero: Solstice (a.k.a. The Fae Beast King) - he immediately falls in love with Gabriella and knows that she is his destiny. Though she is certifiably insane, evil and cruel. He knows this all within minutes of meeting her. She is beautiful and terrifying and has dark magic within her. His magic is light and is nothing compared to the dark magic in Gabby.

The heroine: Fallon - she is a twin to Gabriella, their father Vale, is an evil sorcerer who put his dark magic into Gabriella and it has been destroying her from the inside out ever since. Gabby believes that everyone is out to steal her father’s magic from her. She nearly kills her cousin Bellicent, who is half vampire and engaged to Thane, best friend of Solstice.

The Story: Fallon is a hacker and cyber security specialist. She loves her twin sister, they live together in the house their mother left to them. Fallon wants to save her sister from the dark magic that is turning her into something awful. Both Fallon and Solstice believe their must be some way to save Gabby, and they decide to work together to help her. Solstice tells Fallon that he knows Gabby is his mate though they just met. He tells her that his kind know their fated mate(s) right away, that they can’t choose a match, it is shown to them by the universe.

I was a bit disappointed that right from the beginning, Solstice says that his kind are shown their matches, in that there can sometimes be more than one. I kind of knew where this was headed from that point. He said they usually don’t know for certain if someone is their fated mate until they do the deed, but in this case, he just knew that Gabriella was the one. He tells Fallon that he can take Gabby to his home, where she can be safe and not hurt others, while he tries to find a solution. Fallon will not agree unless she goes along. This story went pretty much as I expected, not many surprises, it was good, but not great.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view and was narrated in dual narration by Tristan James and Meg Price. Meg has a terrific voice that I really like. She is expressive and sounds natural. Tristan James, is good, though he isn’t on my list as one of my favorite male narrators. His voice is kind of strange, though not bad. I usually like a deep voice for a male narrator, his isn’t super deep, though it does have a unique quality.
