About this listen

Some things are better left forgotten.

Dreams taunt me, filling me with questions even more so than the supernatural world I’d only just learned about. Making matters worse, a vampire attacked me while I was alone in the middle of the night.

Death was imminent until a silver wolf saved me.

A silver wolf who shifted into the most gorgeous man I'd ever seen, and no matter how hard I try to ignore it, there’s something pulling me toward him.

Secrets come to light, and nothing is as it seemed.

I'm being hunted.

The silver wolf vows to protect me, no matter the cost, but the stakes are becoming too high. Not only are we fighting an unseen enemy, but we're battling the forbidden attraction between us.

Leaving the only home I've ever known behind, I’m forced to face my destiny as the ones I love struggle to stay alive.

  • Rising Darkness
  • Silver Moon

Shadow City: Royal Vampire

I can not get enough of these awesome books by Jen. We're heading back to my favorite place again, Shadow City. Where you know to expect the unexpected and nothing is as it seems so you need to always watch your back.

Love Shadow City

Not sure how these books keep getting better! I had an inkling of where the story was going - but it was so much better than I’d guessed!

Great series!

I was so excited to return to Shadow City and to finally get a bit more of Cyrus and Annie.
Cyrus character has always been so intriguing to me at the beginning when we met him.

The story with Annie and Cyrus is very interesting. We are dealing with the aftermath of what Annie has endured and slowly discovering what she is and come to terms with that. Cyrus is having to deal with a lot as well with his pack. Overall, it was a fun listen that had me on the edge of my seat towards the end. I loved all the angst and frame! I can’t wait to read the next book.

Gimme all the angst vibes.

This is Annie's story, and wow it's off to a great start! This book starts off with Cyrus saving Annie, so it doesn't take long for romance to show up. We learn more about Annie and Cyrus's pasts, and they have similar stories and feelings. I love how strong Annie is, and how Cyrus helps her achieve her goals.

I love having this greater overall story (Shadow City), that keeps the same characters in the new stories. It's definitely fun seeing all how the main casts continues to help eachother and help for the greater good.

Another amazing Shadow City book!

With all the raving 5-star reviews I couldn't help but purchase this book. I only made it a few chapters in before I finally gave up and returned it. The story wasn't bad, it just started off with a sprint and I couldn't keep up with who was who in such a short amount of time. There really wasn't much world building to help me understand why the main character is in trouble or why she's being followed by a silver wolf. I'm sure it's a great story but I need something a little more in depth.

I really wanted to like it

I spent the first several chapters confused about all of the characters. This is evidently a world building series and cannot be read as a stand-alone first book in a series (hopefully that makes sense) this was my first book by this author but I don’t think I’ll be picking up anything else from her. Situations spelled out as if the individual speaking was the narrator and not fluid conversation on a topic. Terrible banter and inside jokes I didn’t get as this was the first book I read by her. “Because something bad might happen” was said several time. What could happen you ask? Idk. That was the explanation. Super disappointed in the character building. I think the book has a great overall plot but was poorly executed.

This shouldn’t be labeled book 1
