❤️💕 A VERY WORTHY 5 STAR SECOND CHANCE 💕❤️

Faith Summers didn’t disappoint with this very enjoyable second book in the Ruthless Billionaires series. Two brothers disowned by their father, taken in by their Billionaire grandfather and, when grown, given a chance to prove themselves worthy of the Grayson empire crowns - ready to stand at the top when their grandfather retires.

River and Jericho were a teenage Romeo and Juliet.. star-crossed lovers who may just get a second chance to put the damage in each of their pasts behind them. Unfortunately though, there’s emotional scars that run deep, there’s stubborn walls built to protect and more hurdles ahead than either one realize. Back then she believed his lies of “changed feelings”, of “drifting apart” of “needing to go their separate ways”.. which, eight years later, leads to the ruthless, workaholic, Billionaire Playboy Jericho we see today and the desperate for money dancer willing to do anything to help her aunt. Which leads to a $1m marriage contract to say “I do” and $1m more after a year to say “goodbye”. However, neither one could’ve planned for the combustible chemistry to still be there.. along with the lowering of walls.. the blurring of lines.. the possessive fight.. the push ‘n pulls.. the heat and hunger.. and the deep love that never died. But Jericho’s secrets are kept for too long and the ghost of River’s violent locked-up Russian ex becomes very real.. very determined.. and very threatening in her present.

Worth a credit? Yes, I got lost in this well-written rollercoaster in the best of ways and the whole thing was expertly brought to life by Desirée and Aaron. Their skilful voice acting fit the characters perfectly, brought the emotional highs and lows.. and sizzles and heat.. and danger and love to life making each chapter flow into a worthy 5 star listen.

The story the plot…….

I loved book …. I want more. I really enjoyed how the unity in the brothers and the friends also , the whole family. The most interesting part was the passion that every character had, everybody working together, whether it was evil or good. I just love the book. I so enjoyed it too much.

5/5 IM IN HEAVEN!

Dear I say Jericho and River casually took their spot as Number 1 in this series! (I still have to read the other books) but OMG I loved Knight but Aurora wasn’t exactly the kind of fmc I wanted by the end. River on the other hand was everything!

Doing whatever she had to do to save her aunt was beyond admirable because I know I could never lol but she was willing to literally do anything for her aunt. Jericho is such a protector of River and when he took charge at the end!!! WHEWWWW CHILE! And River finally standing up to him about moping over something we find out was his doing???? OMGGGG!!! Faith Summer GIRLLLLL! I’m officially a FAN!

Repetitive Internal Monologues 😫

Oh the dreaded, lazy monotonous internal monologues. Uggg Don’t waste your time or money, this one has absolutely no content. The first one in the Ruthless Billionaires series was pretty good, but this one is so boring. Very little actually happens—the two main characters just continually think about their issues, and reiterate the past ad nauseam. It’s also a little cringy, 😖and the writing quality is lacking. While Aaron Sherlock is one of my favorite male narrators, Desirée Ketchum tends to get a bit nasally and sometimes falls onto an odd, choppy cadence. But she did better on this one than some of her other performances.

Waste of a credit

So disappointed. The first book was so good. This should have been named RIVERS STORY. I stopped listening at chapter 26. I think the female character read 16-17 chapters up to then. Couldn’t deal with her, her rethinking & rehashing over again. The male narrator was delicious, but there wasn’t enough of him and worst of all there was No Story.
