About this listen

The vampires are out for blood, but one vampire desires my heart....

When my brother, the alpha wolf, asks me to help secure some land that the vampires promised to us, I don’t hesitate. That’s the thing about being an outcast. When you’re a human who is unable to shift, you’ll do whatever it takes to prove yourself.

That includes making a deal with a vampire. Their kind killed our parents, so I know they’re not to be trusted, but Jason is nothing like I expected. I’m certain he’s playing games and trying to trick me with the contract. Except I can’t ignore the way he makes the blood pump through my veins.

When the Ancients attack Jason’s apartment, it’s not just the vampires that are in danger. All supernaturals are at risk, including our pack, and especially me, because of my virgin blood.

For reasons I can’t explain, I feel safe with Jason. And when I discover why he’ll go to any lengths to protect me, my life will never be the same again....

Warning: Cliffhanger, spotty narration

I like these authors and I have listened to close to 1,000 audible books (yes its an addiction!). This narrator lost her place more than any book I have ever listened to. Over and over she repeated a line like she had stopped and couldn't recall where she had left off. This is rare in all the books I have listened to but has happened once, maybe twice in a book. This was more like a dozen+ times. Narrator issues aside, I found Ciara juvenile and selfish. Her instance she could help, even if it put everyone in danger, because she refused to see her own limitations was annoying and made it hard to root for her/like her. Jason was more enjoyable and likeable IMO.
