About this listen

The world of the Dark Hunters is unlike anything you've ever seen before. It's dark. It's gritty. It's dangerous…

And it's a whole lot of unexpected action and snarky comebacks.

My name is Nick Gautier, and I was born to end the world. Or so I thought.

For years, I believed my destiny was beyond my control. But the Fates love to play with folks, and I seem to be their favorite punchline.

Just when my crew and I thought we were done with the apocalypse, the Fates dragged back for another round. Now, we have to stop the powers-that-be and my future son or the ones I love and cherish will become memories.

It's a demon-eat-demon world, and we are all the stands between humanity and total subjugation.

Includes bonus Chronicles of Nick: Shadows of Fire novella, Last Christmas.

Amazing storyline

the detail in which she writes and the way it is narrated makes you feel like you can actually see it in your head! Sherrilyn is an amazing writer!

I love Sherilyn Kenyon’s books

I was smiling at the end , and the rest of the book was great. It was like a reunion of characters

Not sure where to start…

OMG- what happened to Holter Graham’s voice? I can’t even listen to the shrieking, ear piercing rendition of Simi! I used to love Holter Graham, and I know it’s been awhile between books, but doesn’t he listen to his past work? Or practice? And the person in charge of recording- how can you let this pass? It’s cringe worthy.
As for the story, we’re now finally, after what, 30 books, getting some explanations, although it’s being dragged out, probably because the author is trying to recoup some of her divorce losses. She knows she has us all hooked like a bunch of sheep who will keep following her, just so we can finally have some closure. Looks like we have about another five years and 10 books before we finally get there…🤷‍♀️ But somebody better do something about Simi’s voice.

Voices

Voices of characters weren't the same, or as good, as in previous books and Simi's voice made my ears want to bleed.

Novella stole the show!

Loved! It took a hot minute to recall all the players, but once I did, I didn’t want it to end! Holter Graham was perfection as always!

a good continuation of the story.

all the other books the narator did a good job. This one was not even close. maybe he needed to listen to the way he did the characters voices in previous recordings. Simi was so terrible I literally cringed it hurt my ears so bad. It was nothing like before. I hope this gets fixed next time.
