This is the first book that I've ever listened to of Stephanie Rose. this had a good story it was suspenseful the end of the book of course had most of the suspense going because you were seeing the stalker more often. I enjoyed the story it was interesting I think this is the first book I've ever read where there was a stalker I've never read a stalker book before but this was good I I listened it was I'm assuming pretty accurate when it comes to stalking on how people do things on things that happened to the characters during the whole process. There were parts that dragged for me for a little bit but that's just me doesn't mean It would be everyone. I will say the narrator's for this story chef's kiss man they were awesome both the female and male narrator did a phenomenal job with there part.

Stephanie Rose knows how to capture my heart with her beautiful stories with heartfelt emotion, relatable characters, and sizzling passion. Safe With Me has all that, adding in an intriguing, suspenseful plot that kept me on the edge of my seat while also pulling at my heartstrings! Lila has relocated to Kelly Lakes after some horrible incidents involving her ex-boyfriend. She wants a fresh start and leave all the chaos and fear of her past life behind. What she finds first is Officer Mike Russo. They have instant chemistry, but with both their pasts, and their age difference, they take it slow. Mike has never wanted a relationship, but Lila makes him want everything. As they get closer, and their feelings grow deeper, someone is out to drive Lila away. Mike wants to protect Lila and keep her safe, but Lila doesn't want Mike, or the new family she has found, to get hurt because of her. As things escalate, will Mike be able to find who is behind this before it's too late? I loved Lila and Mike, they were so perfect for each other. He showed her how strong and resilient she could be, and she showed him that love was worth taking a chance. Mike is the perfect book boyfriend with his contrasting sweetness, alpha-protectiveness, and dirty dominance! It was fun returning to Kelly Lakes and seeing past characters that I love, and meeting new quirky people from town who made this story even more fun and heartfelt. The twists and turns in this story built slowly, but soon had my heart pounding. I was completely consumed by this breathtaking, passionate and addictive story!
Narrators Rose Dioro and Sean Masters are superb storytellers! They embodied these characters perfectly, bringing them to life so clearly. Their ability to convey such emotion from the dramatic to the funny, from panic to passion, and all the sweet moments in between was superb. They helped to make this breathtaking love story even more captivating!

I love romantic suspense and the Kelly Lakes community of intertwined family and friends – this was absolute perfection! It was smooth and balanced between the romance, the heat, the suspense, the community, and the family. It kept you on your toes while watching sweet and hot Mike fall in love! The audio book was spectacular – the narrators brought it to life in such an awesome way!

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 First person dual POV with fabulous narrators. Sean Masters is such a great voice narration of Officer Mike Russo—so strong but soothing/gentle. Rose Dioro is fabulous at all the emotions as Lila—such a perfect blend of sweet, sensual, a little bit scared, but also strong. They are both really, really good at being two voices in the conversations and intimate moments.
🤩 Slow burn that Lila totally needed in this small town of escape.
🤩 Small town goodness, including some fun landladies!
🤩 Meet-cute but caring.
🤩 I’m always begging for a little bit of reverse age gap.
🤩 The sweet friendship building is so beautiful.
🤩 And it makes a delicious contrast to the dirty talking we get from Officer Mike Russo. Love it! So hot!
🤩 I love when Lila calls Mike Mikey—it’s just so fitting and cute.
🤩 I enjoy a little suspense romance plot—this one has a little twist and kept me interested the whole time.
🤩 This book hit me just right and captivated all of me, which I very much needed during a very busy time in my life with last few weeks of school, a college graduate, and a high school graduate. Thanks to the author for the gifted copy of the audiobook. I found the ebook on Kindle Unlimited.

What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 Nothing except take me back to Kelly Lakes. I did miss Raising the Bar, which is on my TBR and I’ll definitely need to bump up. I loved and highly recommend An Unexpected Turn and Starting back, which I read out of order and very much appreciate them being true but interconnected standalones.

Stephanie Rose delivers fantastic romantic suspense with characters and settings that feel like coming home. Her writing makes you want to stay in this world forever, and if you’ve read the Kelly Lakes series, you’ll love revisiting familiar faces. No worries if Safe with Me is your first trip to Kelly Lakes, it can be read as standalone.
Mike is sweet, protective, and falls hard for Lila, who is starting over after escaping a toxic ex. Their relationship builds beautifully from friendship to something more, with plenty of tension, family drama, and well-crafted suspense. The age gap is there but never feels awkward, and Lila’s tough Philly side makes for some great moments.
The narration is phenomenal, and brought the story to life in the best possible way.
If you love romance with strong characters, a little heat, and a dash of suspense, this one’s a must-read!
