About this listen

A free-spirited proposal planner and a grumpy professor form a hilarious and unexpected situationship that just might lead to more in this steamy romantic comedy by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster.

Dog groomer and budding marriage-proposal planner Destiny Amor believes in true love and happily ever afters. Though it’s not in the stars for her yet—honestly, who can live up to the criteria on her Mr. Right Checklist?—she wants it for others. When Destiny’s first misguided attempt at romance concierge ends in disaster, she’s ready to call it quits, until the supposed groom-to-be steps in with a proposal of his own.

Ryan “Fletch” Fletcher, a divorced-and-never-going-there-again professor, needs to get his matchmaking family off his back, and the disorganized, too-in-love-with-love proposal planner is the perfect solution. He offers to help Destiny get her business on track, if she’ll play the part of his adoring girlfriend at his brother’s wedding.

A professional situationship with her grumpy dog-grooming client? Destiny adores his pup, and she could put up with him to get her business off the ground. With any luck, she might even get that chip about love off his shoulder.

Quirky Lover meets Grumpy Anti-Love

When’s sunshine bubbly southern woman wants to have a proposal business meets a grumpy professor dog dad, there is instant sparks.

Destiny moved to NY to be close to her best friend. Both her parents have passed and she still has a positive perspective on life. She also has a checklist for her perfect man.

Fletch is a divorcee who is grumpy and has no interest in a relationship or love. He never wants to marry again.

Destiny just so happens to plan her first proposal for her first client and when Fletch walks in, he begs Destiny to kiss him. Confused she does it. Until her client screams! Ruining the proposal. Fletch and Destiny end up talking and he states he will help her with her business if she plans to be his fake date for his brother’s wedding.

Once they become really close, both of them end up in a relationship but won’t acknowledge it as it is. The banter, the grumpy/sunshine, the quirkiness of these two were soooo fun!! Absolutely enjoy this book!

I loved this book!!!

I cannot express how much I freaking loved this book. The characters had me screaming, swooning and threatening violence if they didn’t get themselves straightened out. My love for this story and the characters is insane. I have no idea how I’m going to sleep now but I am wired and so happy with how it all ended so beautifully. 😍

Nice quick romance

This is a cute grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract romance. It is a quick read/listen and the audio aspect of this one was great. There were several pauses that got a bit distracting but the narrators were absolutely amazing!!! Definitely recommend for a quick, sweet romance.

So many feelings

Destiny and Fletch know each other from her dog grooming his dog. She's trying to get a prproposal business off the ground. Her client eends up being Fletch's stalker. Destiny tries to make up ffor it. Fletch decides he wants to help her with her business and in return she can be his fake date to his brother's wedding. What happens earn free-spifree-spirited Destiny falls for the never falling in love Fletch? Will Fletch see that he can really lolove again before it's too late? I laughed and cried during this book. Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood really were great to listen to.

Delightful!!

Fletch and Destiny’s Grumpy Gus/Susie Sunshine, age gap romance is a flirty, feel good, emotion filled opposites attract storyline that was delightful from start to finish. I loved Destiny’s positivity, her spunk, and her life long love affair with happily ever after. Her working friendship and subsequent growing affection for Fletch is appealing as he swears he’ll never risk his heart again but can’t resist the southern belle. I loved their banter and his unsuccessful attempts to resist the sweet southern peach but he never stood a chance against Destiny’s eternal positivity, her emotional vulnerability, and her sweet southern heart. Add in a golden retriever named Molly and an earless tomcat rescue named Clementine and the cuteness factor reigns supreme. Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood are perfectly cast in their respective roles and their performances greatly added to my enjoyment of the story.

Stripper names

I could not get myself to like Destiny. I wanted to, she had a lot of personal tragedy that made me feel for her. However the author kept talking about how smart she was but gave us nothing to prover she is. She seemed like a scatter brained nightmare. She was supposed to be young and couldn’t figure out a computer?! Then to top it off, most of the women had stripper names. Destiny, Heaven… yikes!
