About this listen

A new world arises from the ashes of the old...but the fight for survival has only just begun.

In the day of the nomad, oceans flooded the continents and the Earth split open, pouring darkness into the skies. Jessica Rollins survived, but at what cost? The key to humanity's survival may lie in the backpack she recovered from her father, in data he collected more than 30 years before. Her father's final words circle around and around in her head. What does the data mean? Who is the mysterious Ufuk Erdogmus? And what is...sanctuary?

Loved it

I found this book as well as the first one Nomad to be very well done. Good story line that kept moving in unpredictable ways. Think it would make a great movie as well!

Loved it!

This audiobook continues Matthew Mather's story of Earth after twin black holes, called Nomad, speed through the solar system. Planets have been pulled out of their orbits. The sun may not be stable anymore. Earth may not be in the same orbit around the sun anymore. The strong gravitational pull of Nomad causes massive tsunamis. There have been earthquakes and volcanoes around the world erupt sending Earth immediately into an ice age. Jessica and her group have to decide whether to stay in the castle or go south to find other survivors. They find groups who prepared massive underground bunkers, and who make multiple attempts to obtain her father's data from his graduate school studies 30 years ago. Jessica is in a battle against the environment and other survivors. This is an action packed story and well narrated by Keith Szarabajka.

Roller Coaster of Uncertainty & Intrigue

I think my favorite character so far is Masara. She is who she is quite unapologetically. she lies but you know it and most often she finds it better to say nothing at all which I appreciate. Jessica drives me a little crazy but then I think what I myself might do and I know I probably couldn't do better. I fight for survival is hard enough but this book certainly doesn't leave it just to that struggle, but the underlying factors are still not 100% transparent.

Great Action Thriller

This is nonstop action with a lot of intrigue thrown in. There is the main story then there is all these other subplots where you wonder what's going on but remain to be seen fully. Seriously malignant bad guy. And the plot thickens...Cool book.

Curiosity

This series is not what I usually read but once I got into nomad I was hooked I needed to find out what would happen next Is this where earth is going I tried to put myself into the story and think of how I would react. The narration was clear snd easy to listen to. So I am overcome by Curiosity and will be listening to the next two series

Worth a listen.

Good continuation of book one. Little bit unrealistic. Kinda hard to believe they would chase someone so far for the reason they give. Don’t want to spoil that. I still enjoyed it and look forward to the next book in the series.

Like riding a roller coaster in the dark.

Mr. Mathur does a very good job of holding out the last crumb to the very end in his plots. Though the extremes embody toughness are a bit far-fetched, they are nonetheless exciting. The real hero here though is the narrator who does a fantastic job of getting voice to each character.
