About this listen

Shirleen has always been self-reliant and adventurous, but after dealing with a husband who beat her, the disappearance of her four-year-old daughter, and kidnapping at the hands of the notorious Comanche renegade Big Nose, she's almost given up hope.

When the most handsome man she's ever seen sweeps in to rescue her, she sees a man in whom she can finally put her trust. Her troubles might seem an overwhelming burden, but Chief Blue Thunder's broad shoulders are equal to the task. And his hard body promises to lift her on wings of pleasure and send her soaring amid savage skies.

love love love the story.

can't see Edwards is a wonderful author. she fills her novels with much love and respect for the native American Indians and their culture. an absolute must read. The story is beautiful. So refreshing to listen to a story where it has two different cultures coming together and love and harmony.

Awsome

Where does Savage Skies rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Savage skies is the first audible book I have purchased. I have read all of Cassie Edwards Savage series but actually listening to someone tell the story, it was AWESOME! I enjoy reading but listening to someone read to you, its as if you involved in your own personal story telling time.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Savage Skies?

The story line is one that is so familiar to our society; family violence. Shirleen demonstrated being a strong willed women, one on many missions.

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Cook’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first narrated book and I thought Rebecca Cook did an outstanding job telling the story. She is remarkable when it comes to the switching of characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Karma in the bad lands.

Any additional comments?

I love Cassie Edwards!

This was the first book I read by Cassie Edwards. and I've been hooked ever since. I do feel they fall madly in love a little quickly, and the sex scenes could be a little more steamy. but other than that, this is one of my favorite books.

Boring…a painful listen

Unfortunately, the story nor the characters did a thing for me. It was a struggle to listen. It read like a mostly sterile novel from back in the day. The narration wasn’t great either. I had to speed it up a little; fortunately that helped. I cannot recommend…

revisiting a first

decided to revisit one of the first romance novels I read as a teen, the innocence of this series can't even begin to touch the books I read/listen to now. it was spicy for its time when I was young, a nice to revisit but too tame for my adventurous tastes, trigger warning? don't know her.

Blech...

I thought I would give a new romance genre a try and was thinking that this would be a good try. Where I imagined listening to a "Dances with Wolves" type story, I'm getting a dismal 1950's TV plot script. The writing of the story is full of trite phrasing (ex... "oh my darling")and the characters are so one dimensional that I'm finding I don't really care about any of them.

I'm going to finish listening to the story only because I'm stubborn and finish what I start. But I'm feeling like it is a chore. Don't waste your credit!
