Beautiful concept .. for Elvis fans!!

Absolutely loved this story .. it's what every Elvis fan dreams of .. being able to change the course of Elvis's life .. to give him a wake-up call which negates 16 Aug 1977.

I'd highly recommend this story which is written so well and from the authors heart.

The only negative is that I really wish authors would not narrate their own stories. I read the physical book first and loved it so much I had to get the the audio version however the narration is not great .. although it's not a deal breaker.

This book is amazing and very imaginative.

I just finished an Elvis book I just had to write about. I've been an Elvis fan for 46 yrs. So it's fair to say I've seen and heard just about all that's been out. Saving Elvis by Mary Yancey Wheat is an incredible fictional story of a young college teacher Jenna - who has the chance to spend three days with Elvis to try to help Save Elvis from his untimely death. I really really enjoyed this book. So much so that I listened to it twice as I got the audiobook form. I wanted to make sure I got everything in before I wrote my review. The author did an amazing job of capturing Elvis and how I feel like he was in person. I believe she's an Elvis fan because if not she did a lot of research to be able to throw in some the details she does. I'm always a little skeptical of fictional Elvis stories. A lot of these books are used to make some money. They don't go into detail of Elvis or his life. I have seen a few movies Finding Graceland, Bubba Ho-tep, Elvis Is Alive, and Heartbreak Hotel. They were fun to watch at the time. But when I was done watching. They didn't give me the Elvis feel. But to me, this story is very imaginative, and authentic to Elvis and how I think he would be. This book is cool, funny, and heartwarming. I found myself tearing up a few times with some of the scenes. I myself would love to see this book made into a movie. Yes I know it's not real and it's all fiction. But wouldn't it be cool to just imagine a lil that somehow Elvis was still with us. If you're an Elvis fan or have an interest in Elvis - I'd say get this book. The only drawback to this book was it's not long enough. I give this book an A+++

A wonderful and heartfelt story.

What a great “what if” storyline. I’m sure many Elvis fans including myself had at one time or another wondered what if the King would had lived a long and full life. What if he had overcome all the obstacles and challenges that weighed on him at such a young age. I love how Saving Elvis provide a positive and heartfelt ending even if it was just fiction. I’m recommending this book to everyone I know.
