Publisher's summary

Pretending she's her twin gets complicated when Hope is shipwrecked with a handsome castaway. When rescue comes, will she risk her heart to confess the truth, or will they part forever?

Pretending to be her sister, Hope Everly finds an adventure, at last. The Caribbean's warm waters and tropical islands fulfill nearly all her dreams. When an excursion to visit another island with a naturalist expedition is interrupted by a storm, Hope is stranded on a desert island where she and her fellow castaways are dependent on a handsome stranger for their survival.

Alejandro Córdoba, trapped and alone on the island long enough to give up all dreams of rescue, knows nothing of what has become of his war-torn homeland or his family. When he finds the beautiful Miss Everly washed up on the shore, along with her companions, he does not know if their arrival is a blessing or a curse.

Hope's behavior, acting one way with Alejandro and another with her friends, further confuses things when they begin to fall in love. If rescue ever comes, will telling Alejandro the truth mean losing him forever?

This is the third book in the Inglewood series and can be listened to as a stand-alone sweet regency romance.

Delightful and engaging!

Oh my heart! I was swept away completely while listening to this enjoyable story. I've read and listened to the previous books in this story and must admit that I was quite anxious to have the chance to enjoy Hope's story. She and Grace are twin sisters. In Discovering Grace, Hope was a bit dramatic but I had hopes that when I was able to finally read her book and see into her mind and learn more about her character, I would come to like her a lot more. And guess what? I did! I really enjoyed getting into her mind and seeing her perspective.

And this book, was amazing! I listened to an audiobook version and really enjoyed it. I didn't have a lot of listening time so I listened in small chunks of time and found myself thinking about it constantly and wondering what would come next in the story. I really enjoyed the narrator and her ability to bring this story to life as well as creating depth for the different characters.

Alejandro Córdoba is our hero in this book and my oh my...if you were to be stranded on an island with several people he is somebody you would want on your side for sure! I loved the first meeting between Hope and Alejandro, and the surprise of him discovering that she was not the only survivor to wash up on the shore.

Hope is still hiding a secret from those she has been traveling with and Alejandro. But I loved her knowing smirk and twinkle in her eye when that secret was brought to the forefront of the story and her thoughts. And most especially when it had to do with her real name, Hope, and Alejandro. Oh, how I loved those moments. She's a bit of a mischievous character and I thoroughly enjoyed the light her character brought to this story.

There are several secondary characters that I just didn't much care for. And several other secondary characters that I thought were wonderfully written and added into the story. Well done Sally Britton on another great book in the Inglewood series. The ending was utterly delightful. And I look forward to the next couple books in this series about a group of friends. I have loved every minute I've spent with this group of friends and look forward to many more minutes in their company.

Content: Clean. Some kisses. Some moments of peril and danger due to the setting of the story.

Happy Listening!!!

Wonderful Adventuress Regency Romance

This was such a fun story! I loved the characters falling in love after being stranded on an island. The narrator did an amazing job on the characters voices! This was a great story and the narrator really kept my attention through the whole book!

The most original story setting ever!

This is the third book in the Inglewood series. Miss Everly has many facets to her personality in the story but is tenacious in the pursuit of her goals. As the story unfolds, we see she has an endearing, vivacious spirit and yearns for adventure. She doesn’t want to settle down until she has had her fill. She meets her match in the book and is willing to give up everything to be with the man she has fallen in love with. The problem is two fold. First she is pretending to be her twin sister Grace, and secondly she cannot be sure if the man she loves will have her. I love that she is strong and adventurous. That she isn’t afraid to be more than a pampered lady in a drawing room. She thinks for herself and shows pluck, courage and innovation in her challenges. The reader of this book Marion Hussey was able to draw me in from the onset. Her voice is pleasant to listen to and she kept my attention with her inflection, voice changes and smooth reading pace. Definitely a book for those who love a clean regency romance, want a change in storyline and want a fun original setting.

Great Story, just harder one for me to finish

This is another great story from Sally Britton. Sadly, for me I had a harder time finishing this one. It is a very interesting premise with two castaways falling in love, but for me I really can't say exactly why I struggled with this one. Maybe it was Hope and her imitating her twin Grace or maybe it was her inconsistencies around Alejandro. I still think it is a great tale and the narration is fantastic. I would recommend it even, though it was not my favorite. Hope you still try it out and find joy in this love tale from the sea!

Great historical romance

Not your typical regency romance! Such a great series and the perfect adventure for Hope. The narrator also did a great job!

Another very good book by Sally Britton!

I had read the book about Grace finding love and marriage, so I wanted to read this book about her twin sister, Hope. The premise is that Grace, who is shy and retiring, and Hope, who is outgoing and friendly, trade places after their father tries to punish Hope by sending Grace on a sea voyage. Grace definitely does NOT want to go away from home, and Hope is disappointed that she cannot go on this adventure - so Grace comes up with the idea for them to trade places so each can do what they truly want. However the small boat that, Hope, who is now going by the name of Grace - during a day trip with friends to see unusual flora and fauna, has the unfortunate incident of the small boat hitting rocks and breaking apart, making them all swim to an uninhabited island (they think). But they find that there is another young Spanish man, whose larger boat sank a year and a half ago, has already been there and has learned from his rough experience how to live and survive on his own on the island. It is a story of love, jealousy, false pride, and prejudice, but gradually Hope and the young Spanish man, Alejandro, fall is love. Alejandro, because he has already been on the island so long, thinks they will never be rescued, but Hope has trust that they will.
The narrator, Marian Hussey, was very good as well, I never was confused about who was speaking, and she did all the accents very well.

Adventurous & clean Regency romance

The narrator was wonderful. Sally Britton has fully developed stories, characters and narrators for her books. Miss Everly wasn't always my favorite in this series. I felt while she's a force to be reckoned with & that's not bad. However, sometimes she didn't consider how her actions effected others. Through this story I was able to understand her more & see her layers. What are her motivations. It would be a difficult thing to be a strong & independent female in the Regency era. I did come to like her more & wanted her to have her very own hea. I dont think she did fully acknowledge that her sometimes being rash or running headlong into things isn't always good & can have a negative impact. I found the romance to be sweet & swoony while staying clean. I thought the idea for this book was unique, original and fit our h perfectly. Along with the H. The story left me feeling satisfied. There is a nice flow and arc. I just think the whole series is wonderful. Sally Britton is a auto buy

What an adventure!

I LOVED this book. It was so fun seeing proper England in a deserted island setting! And I think Hope is one of my favorites. Her spunk and fire add so much to the book! Definitely recommend it! The narrator did a FANTASTIC job!! The accents and characters were perfect!
