About this listen

Every villain has a story.

This is ours.

Tinker Bell and I have lived a life no one remembers, including her.

I was supposed to die, take my secret and our time together to the grave.

But fate had a crueler plan.

Immortality.

Bought for a price I’m intent on never paying.

But when the horrors from our past come back to haunt her, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to defend her honor.

Unfortunately, I soon learn protecting her comes with a costly burden that rivals my first.

Saving Tink means sacrificing myself, and loving her should make the decision easy. But no matter what I choose, it’ll destroy us in the end.

After all, behind every villain lies a broken heart, and Tinker Bell has always been the reason for mine.

Jake and Tink!!!!

Every single audio in this series has exceeded my expectations. What Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden have given to this story is pretty much indescribable. I say that as I get ready to describe it in what I hope is the best way because finding words truly is hard.

Once again they are both tasked with a multitude of characters and they make it seem so easy to bring them to life. Maxine transitions from Wendy to Tinker Bell to Morgan effortlessly as does Joe with Jake, Peter, Pan, etc. Their talents are showcased so much in this one.

I read the story, I thought I knew what to expect when it came to the audio and turns out I was not. This is some of the best I have ever heard from these two narrators. Jake and Tink have a story full of emotions, Ms. Mitchell and Mr. Arden give the listeners all those emotional scenes and you will feel it down to your soul. With the eloquent writing style of Ms. Montgomery there truly was no better choice than Maxine and Joe!

"It's because I'm protective of you that I push you away, Gidg. I'll guard you fiercely. Even when it means protecting you from what can hurt you most. Me."

I can hold a grudge against book characters like no other and I was so very doubtful that these two would win me over. Well apparently 2024 is the year I fall in love with redemption stories and those characters redeeming themselves because that is exactly what happened.

There is so much story to Jake and Tinker Bell. Forget everything you think you know about her, everything you have seen of her up until this point. The same goes for Jake. They are like that old saying, "looks can be deceiving".

It didn't take me long at all to be smitten with Jake. That man and the sweet things he says and does. Once you get into this story he starts to make sense, so much starts to make sense. The same with Tink and honestly you will need tissues when it comes to certain parts of who she is and how she ended up in Neverland.

While much of this story does revolve around Jake and Tink all of our favorites from Losing Neverland/Lost Boy are back because there is a new villain in town and is someone I never saw coming. So of course my original hatred of Jake and Tink was directed at this new person.

The creative thought process that Evelyn puts into Saving Tink once again shows how wonderful her author mind is. It truly blows my mind these tales she can weave. You get fantasy characters mixed in with Greek Gods (thank you for the quick educational lesson on those...lol) which is something I didn't expect and it works. Throw in the way she tells a love story with such beautiful words and creates these swoony MMCs and plot twists that leave your jaw on the floor, Saving Tink was definitely worth over two years of waiting for the absolute perfection that it is.
