Publisher's summary

Winning the game could change your life. But losing the game could end it.

Caitlin Nylo gave up everything to turn her father’s game company into a worldwide success. Along the way, she lost her mother, her marriage, and she barely sees her children. She’s rich, driven, and brilliant. But she’s also alone.

After her eccentric father passes away, Caitlin is furious when she learns that instead of leaving the company and its fortunes to her, he has chosen to make his heirs compete in one last game: a scavenger hunt with a multi-billion-dollar inheritance waiting at the end.

But old secrets and sibling rivalry soon take a dark turn, as Caitlin and the others confront the demons of their past in their search for clues. And when a live video reveals the brutal murder of her greedy brother, the surviving heirs discover the terrifying truth.

Someone else is playing the game with them. Someone who will do anything to protect one final secret. What began as a scavenger hunt has been twisted into a maniacal deathtrap, from which there is no escape.

And when the game is over, only one of them will remain alive.

Loved it

I don't understand the negative reviews. This book was excellent. I loved the fresh take on the "whodunnit" genre. Definitely different than other crime thrillers, but kept my interest the whole time. The ending could have been longer, I'd love to know what the main character does next. A sequel would be cool.

Good thriller

Pretty good thriller! Lots of twists! Didn’t guess the ending. Would have liked to know what happened beyond the reveal of the killer. Did the company continue? Was the main character still a nightmare? Surprised that this was a free download. Recommend this book!

Absolutely Stupid, A Waste of Time.

This is an embarrassing joke of book. Don't waste your time on this mess unless you like garbage.

Okay murder mystery

The story had an interesting premise over all but it felt like it was lacking. The beginning will be rocky because the main character is absolutely obnoxious and irritating as a person. And unfortunately that doesn't improve with the story. Actually I didn't like any of the characters. I almost couldn't get through the first hour. The ending kinda feels like it comes out of no where? There isn't enough sprinkled in the story for you to go "OH MY GOD OF COURSE!" It gave a similar feel of watching a movie and the scare factor is just cheap jump scares. The ending was there to shock you and give a classic twist, but it left me not that interested.

Even though it isn't that great I don't regret listening. But that's because it was available with the audible plus library. I don't think I would be happy if I paid for this. Overall, it's 'okay.'

Boring and predictable

Not sure if I missed something. The book dragged on and I feel like nothing happened. I saw the ending from a mile away. Most of the book was just listening to the boring thoughts of the annoying main character
