About this listen

In seaside Blueberry Cove, Maine, friends are just another word for family, and big-city politics take a backseat to local pride. But the real treasure on these shores is always love....

When DC lawyer Hannah McCrae heads home for her brother's wedding, she's dragging a lot of baggage along with her - and she doesn't mean suitcases. Betrayed personally and humiliated professionally, the last thing she wants is a new man. That's fine with square-jawed, rugged contractor Calder Blue. He and Hannah may be wildly attracted to one another, but all he wants is to build the town's hotly contested new yacht club and mend a centuries-old family feud. Yet thanks to resentments old and new, day after day the pair wind up tangled in each other's business - and maybe soon in each other's arms. Every bride needs something "blue"....

A Book to Enjoy!

I am so thankful to have found this book, its hard to a find book with a great story, that makes you laugh and to have a narrator that can actually change characters without sounding painfully fake is a WONDERFUL experience!!

look up Maine places and how to pronounce them

very cute story. if you are going to write/narrate a book that takes place in Maine, please please do some research. Biggest being how to pronounce town names. There is no strip club in Augusta. I can not think of one location in the state that serves hush puppies.

Charming & Fun

Mild bodice ripper but with enjoyable characters and a reasonably decent plot (even outside of the romance).

editing opinion

the producer needs to watch for accuracy in pronouncing place names. Very distracting to hear Cal-lay instead of Cal-lus accent on the 2nd syllable. A cute story otherwise.

A Perfect Place

I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed this book. I could tell you that Amanda Ronconi total brought these characters to life with her adorable narration. I could say how invested I was right from the start by the smart, witty, charming banter that was so easy to listen to. I could even say that the couple of sex scenes in the story were set up and executed pretty perfectly. But, I’m too busy to say all that because I’m off to Blueberry Cove Maine to have lunch with my new best friends, Hannah McCrae and Calder Blue. And, I’m hoping the rest of the town will be there too, because I’m, you know, thinking I’d really like to move there someday..

Good story.

This was a good story. There was nothing over the top, it was just a well written story with well developed characters. The story had romance with an interesting mystery. The romance was steamy toward the end and the mystery was nothing to horrific. The narration was good.

Entertaining

The first half was slow moving but I was entertained. The story didn't pick up until about halfway thru and then I really enjoyed it!

Nice

Well, it's not high literature, but it is a pleasant enough story. I enjoyed learning about the small Maine town of Blueberry Cove.
