About this listen

Fate has given them a second chance, and this time? They’ll make it work.

Ten years ago, Kyle’s drunken hookup lead to a little shifter baby. Raising a young wolf shifter is getting harder by the day for this single, omega dad. He’s determined to find his son's alpha father to give Brock the role model he needs, but adjusting to sharing the son he raised on his own for 10 years is easier said than done. A sudden shift in the family arrangement means Kyle doesn't have the luxury of time. He must face his hang-ups head-on if he and Gavin are ever going to rekindle their relationship.

Gavin knows what it’s like to be raised without an alpha, which is why finding out that he has a secret son rocks him to the core. He comes face-to-face with his insecurities surrounding fatherhood, and his and Kyle's new mating is pushed to the limits as a result. Still, Gavin has a lot of years to make up for, and he’s determined to be the alpha his son and his mate need.

Story comment: entertaining story, good pace and strong characters.

Narrator comment: I enjoy Guillaume Dubois as a narrator. He has good rhythm and the intonations and inflections in his narration all work to bring the story and its characters to life.

The only way to make sense out of change

is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. ~Alan Watts~
This was a really enjoyable, heartwarming romance! I absolutely loved Gavin & Kyle. I enjoyed the second chance, one night stand story line. Gavin realizes the scent of his mate during a gaming convention and also realizes he has a son named Brock. The build of their courtship was really sweet, I like that they took their time to tell Brock the truth of who Gavin was to him. I did feel bad for Gavin and all of his inner battles about whether or not he would be a good father for a son he hadn't seen in 10 years, but the way he handled it was great. Even after all the trials and tribulations Gavin and Kyle went through, I really did love the way they handled everything. Another awesome job by Guillaume, I love his voice! Enduring characters

This review contains spoilers

I enjoyed most of this second chance romance. Loved that when Gavin found out about Kyle and Brock he stepped up and was a good father and mate. Kyle was a hit and miss for me. I didn't like how he never once believed his son telling him he was been bullied and later on blamed Gavin for not telling him. Also how he behaved with the dragon situation didn't sit well with me. You can't just make such a huge decision without knowing the whole story. I applaud Liam Kingsley however for getting me so engaged in the story, it's the mark of a good writer when you can get your readers so intrigued. I enjoyed the narration except for the voices of Kyle and Gavin, I understand because of Kyle's work he was given the much deeper tone, but at the same time it made Kyle sound like an Alpha and Gavin the Omega. I'll definitely listen to the next book, because eventhough there's an HEA there are still unresolved issues that I need to know how it works out. Secret Daddy

Secret Daddy is book 3 in the Timberwood Cove series. I love this series as the pack members find their fated mates and it can be enjoyed in any order. This book is about Kyle, a human omega, who's raising his 10 year old son, Brock, alone after a drunken one night stand. At a gaming convention Kyle and Brock meet Gavin, an alpha game maker who just so happens to look just like Brock and turns out to be Gavin's fated mate.
Definitely recommend this book and series.
Narrator Guillaume Dubois does a marvelous job.

Enjoyable.

I enjoyed this story. Liam kingsley is amazing with his writing. Kyle and Gavin story was enjoyable. The only little complaint I have is, although Guillaume Dubois is a nice voice actor's, I wish that Gavin's and kyles voices were different. I'm so used to strong sounding alphas. Gavin's voice sounded to much like an omega and Kyle sounded like he was the alpha. Gavin should have been a little more alpha acting despite his reservations. Their voices didn't go with their characters. But, it still was a nice story and I'll will continue with the complete series.
