About this listen

From the authors of the best-selling series CHERRINGHAM

When Harry and Kat head south to the French Riviera, they look forward to dazzling parties, a shimmering sea, and wonderful food. But once they step off the legendary Paris-Nice train, Le Train Bleu, things start to be anything but restful. Asked to assist in a dangerous case of blackmail - they soon find that the streets and alleyways of the Cote d'Azur hide not only cafes and bistros ... but also secrets and danger of a most deadly sort.

Nathaniel Parker, born in 1962, graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. His television career began in 1988 when he played Flying Officer 'Flash' Gordon in the LWT mini-series "Piece of Cake". He is also the lead in the BBC series "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries", based on the novels by Elizabeth George. Nathaniel Parker has an extensive list of audio books to his credit, ranging from the classics of Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy to more modern writings and children's books.

Clean cozy. Predictable but a fun good listen while doing other things. Highly recommend. Always a pleasure.

1929, historical-research, historical-fiction, husband-and-wife-team, sleuth, extortion, France, investigation, suspense, car-chase*****

This time it's a con game afoot. Starts out sounding all too classic, slips into a bit farcical, then moves on to something new and even fun. A bit Nick (except that he's British service) and Nora (except that her past is as an American agent) in 1929. It's a romp, fun, and a great story. Loved it!
Nathaniel Parker brings the characters alive and adds to the suspense!

Another fun excursion!

I nice series, soothing, no screaming, mysteries. Keeps you entertained at your pace. Perfect for a short plane trip, or a long car ride.

Great way to start a lazy afternoon

So much fun again with Sir Harry et al as usual in this rollicking mystery. What an awesome narrator that carries it so well. I look forward to more exploits of the Mydworth bunch.

A storyline that wound around like a snake and came to the expected ending.

Secrets on…is another fun story of Kat & Harry. Very light, very predictable, pleasant to listen to without too much need for attention to detail. Shorter than other stories I think I might be sorry it cost me a whole audible credit.

Charming as always
